Alpha Glynsera is the Ice-element Alpha Aniimo tucked into an ice cave in Beast Fang Ridge, and it is the reliable source of Freeze Stone — the material you need to push Fenrier into its final form. The fight itself is short if you bring the right elements, but the ice blades it carries will stall you out if your team cannot burn them off.

Quick answer: Burn the flammable vines on the ice cave south of Sanctum: Water to Ice, defeat Alpha Glynsera with a Fire or Earth team, then use an Aniipod Ultra or Sparkling Cube during the catch window.

Alpha Glynsera location in Beast Fang Ridge

Head south of Sanctum: Water to Ice. The Alpha sits below ground in an ice cave, and the entrance is sealed either by flammable vines or by solid ice depending on how you approach it. Either way the answer is fire: hit the blockage with a Fire skill to clear it, then drop into the cavern below.

The surrounding area is Lv 29–32, but the Alpha itself is tuned higher and can appear at Lv. 36. Landing in the arena starts the fight immediately — there is no interaction prompt, so make sure your lead Aniimo is the one you want to open with.

The respawn interval is 20 seconds, so if you are farming Freeze Stone you can stay in the area and re-clear it rather than fast travelling away and back.

Best Aniimo to counter Alpha Glynsera’s Ice element

Glynsera is pure Ice, which gives it a narrow and very exploitable weakness profile:

  • Weak to Fire (1.6×) and Earth (1.6×)
  • Resists Ice, Lightning and Water (0.625× each)
  • Fire skills are the only thing that destroys its ice blades

Bring at least one Fire DPS and one BREAK unit. Earth covers the damage multiplier but not the blade mechanic, so an all-Earth team will grind. These are the Aniimo that fit the fight:

How to beat Alpha Glynsera

Open with your Fire DPS the moment you land. Damage registers as Super Effective straight away, and the game itself flags that Fire skills are needed to melt the ice blades.

Watch the ground. Red area-of-effect circles telegraph the Alpha’s heavier swings, so roll or dash out of them rather than trading damage. A mobile Aniimo is useful here purely to stay alive while your Fire unit’s skills come off cooldown.

Dump your ultimate when the boss is stationary. Ultimates land the largest single chunk of damage in the fight and are best saved for the moment after a heavy attack, when Glynsera is recovering rather than moving.

Cycle in your BREAK unit to fill the break gauge. When the boss is weakened its BREAK Resistance drops sharply, and a successful stagger shows a BREAK prompt on screen — that is your free damage window.

Swap back to Fire for the finish. Glynsera recalls its ice blades and releases the frost stored inside them late in the fight, so burning the blades away with Fire skills both cuts the incoming damage and closes out the health bar.

How to catch Alpha Glynsera after the fight

Alpha Aniimo cannot be caught mid-battle. The capture wheel only opens once the boss is defeated, so there is no risk of killing it by accident and no reason to hold back damage.

Open the capture menu when the prompt appears. You get a limited window and the game hands you a free Aniipod for the attempt.
Pick your item. The base catch rate on Alpha Glynsera is 6%, and standard Aniipods keep it in that range. An Aniipod Ultra or a Sparkling Cube pushes the displayed rate to 100%.
Throw it and claim the rewards. Claiming costs 30 Primegy, and you receive the drops whether or not the catch succeeds. Backing out of the catch screen instead cancels the rewards entirely, though the Primegy is not spent.
Confirm it worked. A successful catch puts Glynsera in your roster immediately, and you can open the Aniimo menu to slot it into Battle Party 1 in place of an existing member.

Alpha Glynsera rewards and Freeze Stone drops

The first clear pays out a one-off bundle: Safaris ×500, Irisalis Petal ×1, Glimmer ×50, Lumin Amber: Breezy Plains ×1 and Freeze Stone ×5. After that, repeat clears drop Freeze Stone as the tied material, with the exact package scaling to your current title. Windborn Stamps ×10 are included at every rank.

Freeze Stone is what makes this Alpha worth repeating. It is the evolution material for turning a Level 34 Fenrier into Glynsera, so farming the boss is also the fastest way to raise your own copy if the catch does not land.

Glynsera stats and skills once it joins your team

Glynsera is No.044, an Ice DPS at the Nova stage and the final form of the Bonesky line. Its base stat total is 512, weighted toward attack:

Its trait, Biting Wind, raises crit rate by 15% against targets carrying more than 5 stacks of [Ice Debuff], which is why the stacking skills matter more than raw power numbers. Boomerang Blade and Ice Strikes apply the stacks; Frost Tail Strike spends them.

SkillElementPowerEP cost
Frost Tail StrikeIce6015
Ice StrikesIce5520
Prismana SlashHoly5520
Night SlashDark5520
Boomerang BladeIce3920
Ice TornadoIce1550

Frost Tail Strike can consume 10 stacks of [Ice Debuff] to deal 85% extra damage, and Ice Strikes applies 5 stacks per cast, so the pairing is the core of any Glynsera rotation. Ice Tornado is the innate skill, costs no EP and runs on an 8-second cooldown. Night Slash is the Nighttime form’s option and silences the target for 4 seconds on a 15-second cooldown, while Prismana Slash belongs to the Prismana form.

Once Glynsera is in the party it also brings Hustle as its Twine movement ability, letting you burn stamina for a speed boost while exploring — handy when you are running the 20-second respawn loop back to the same ice cave for more Freeze Stone.
