Alpha Magmarex is a Lv. 57 Fire and Earth boss that lives inside a volcanic arena under the Zephyrus Landbridge. Beating it lets you capture the creature and register it as No.072 Magmarex, and it also unlocks the Gamma-to-Nova evolution that turns a Lavazar into a Magmarex.

Where to find Alpha Magmarex
Alpha Magmarex sits in the Zephyrus Landbridge, an area in the Breezy Plains region with a level range of 47 to 57. The arena is underground, north of Hot Spring Reef Bloom.
Drop through the geyser hole, then head for the underground Alpha Magmarex arena. Rocks obstruct part of the route, so take a flying Aniimo to glide over them.
Requirements before the fight
The boss is gated behind the “Rainbow of the Ground” objective, which asks you to clear specific milestones first. Meet all of these before you head down:
- Complete the required quests in Elite Training Chapter 5.
- Reach level 50.
- Advance to Wayfarer III.
The in-game recommendation is Lv. 53. As a practical floor, aim for player level 45 or higher with your Aniimo at level 50 or higher. If the “Enemy level is far too high. Victory is unlikely.” warning appears, keep leveling before you engage.
Stop the Overheated state with Water
Alpha Magmarex stacks Fire Debuff on itself throughout the fight. At 20 stacks it enters the Overheated state, where its attack power jumps sharply and its Water resistance drops. The extra damage output is dangerous, so the goal is to hold the overheat back rather than race it.
Bring a Water Aniimo or cast Water skills at the boss. Water damage slows the Fire Debuff buildup and can even reduce it, which keeps Magmarex out of Overheated for most of the fight. Magmarex is Fire and Earth typed, so Water and Earth attacks are its weaknesses while Fire, Ice, and Grass are resisted.

A successful capture opens the Catch and Claim Rewards screen and adds the creature to your Aniilog as No.072 Magmarex. That registration, along with the first-clear reward payout, is your confirmation that the fight and capture worked.

Beyond the first clear, the boss drops materials on repeat runs, including Aniipod Mega and more Breezy Plains Dewdrop Crystal. With Magmarex registered, you can also evolve a Lv. 48 Lavazar into Magmarex by soaking it in the hot spring pool and spending three Blaze Stone.
