Daily Activity Quests
This is the backbone of a steady income and the one source that resets every day. Complete the tasks in the Institute Guide’s daily activity menu to build Activity Points, and reaching the points milestone releases a Glimmer reward. Because it repeats daily, it is worth clearing before anything else.
Defeat Alpha and Omega Aniimo
Beating an Alpha Aniimo for the first time awards 50 Glimmer, and a first-time Omega kill pays 100 Glimmer. These are one-time bounties per boss, so work through the overworld field bosses you have not cleared yet to collect them.
Raise your Aniilog Level
Each time you push your Aniilog Research Level up a rank, you earn 100 Glimmer. You raise it by capturing new Aniimo, completing their Research Goals, and reporting back at an Outpost’s Research Console to submit your findings.
Elite Training, quests, and chests
Progressing the main story and clearing Elite Training Core Courses is one of the largest early sources of Glimmer, since promotion requirements pay out as you advance. Individual quests can also drop Glimmer, such as Family Reunion in The Mistwoods, which can give 20 Glimmer among its rewards. Open-world chests across Idyll add small amounts too, so exploring instead of fast-travelling everywhere pays off.
