You need real coverage of the region’s creature roster plus a boss kill before the badge flips on. Only unique species and their special or regional forms move the percentage. Catching a duplicate of something already logged in the Mistwoods book does nothing for the bar. The catch that matters is a fresh entry.
The important catch here is that some Aniimo appear in more than one biome. Even if you already caught a creature elsewhere, you still need to catch it inside Mistwoods for it to count toward this region’s total. Plan to re-catch shared species on Mistwoods soil.

Only two of them are nighttime encounters: Sparki (Forest Form) inhabits the forest interior after dark, while Wisptis (Forest Form) appears in the northern canopy during the same hours. During the day, open the system menu and move the clock dial forward until night, then search for them.
Hummin roams the same wooded stretch, glowing among the trees, and is an easy early log while you are already in the forest for Sparki.
Head into the dark swamp section for Hexxin (Basic Form) at Level 36. It sits in the marshy water, so watch your footing while you line up the catch.
The southern edge of Mistwoods holds a cluster of Level 29 catches. Celestis walks the grassy ridge, Emberpup wanders the southeastern hill border, and Flutternym flutters near the southern cliff overhang. Pick them off in one loop, then drop into the river area for Pranky along the canyon bank and Skippy (Basic Form) in the water pool.
Track spawns with the Habitats button
If you are missing one specific creature, the collection menu can point you straight to it. Open the Mistwoods map collection panel, select the Aniimo you still need, and press the Habitats button. Its spawn territory lights up on the world map as a highlighted grid, so you can teleport to the nearest fast travel point and walk in.
The same panel lists a creature’s spawn conditions. Check it before hunting Wisptis or Forest Sparki, since it will confirm the Nighttime requirement and save you a wasted trip in daylight.
Defeat and capture Alpha Leafy
Once your progress bar clears 70%, the only thing left is the boss. Alpha Leafy is a Level 35 fight on the lotus leaves at the central Mistwoods pond, and beating it is what actually completes the badge.
You only get one throw during that window. Bring an Anipod Ultra rather than a weaker pod so the guaranteed catch closes out the badge on the first try.
Claim the reward and confirm the badge
With 70% reached and Alpha Leafy down, the Seeker in the Mist objective updates to [1/1]. Open the Mistwoods map collection screen and use Claim Rewards to grab the 70% milestone reward tier. Milestone rewards along the way include earlier tiers such as the 40% payout you can collect once the bar passes that mark.
Confirm the reward by pressing Esc and opening Character. From there, choose the Badges tab, select Breezy Plains, and find Seeker in the Mist. Its presence confirms the Silver Collection Badge is unlocked and activates its Mistwoods perks.
