Highland Iris is the maple-red regional variant of Aniimo’s dancing flower creature, listed as No. 11B in the Aniilog. It is a Lumin stage, Grass-element Aniimo with the DPS role, and unlike the standard Iris, it only appears in one region of the map.

Quick answer: Highland Iris spawns in the Russet Highlands, along the path directly north of the First Sight landmark, where it roams in small groups around Level 48–51.

Where to find Highland Iris in the Russet Highlands

The Russet Highlands is the only habitat for this form. Everything else in the Iris family lives elsewhere, so if you are sweeping grassy lowlands you will keep pulling the wrong variant.

Open the world map and switch to the Russet Highlands. The spawn cluster sits on the path that runs north out of the First Sight landmark, which is the easiest anchor point to navigate from.

Fast travel to First Sight and follow the trail north on foot. Keep to the path rather than cutting across open ground, since the creatures cling to the tree line rather than the exposed slopes.
Scan the snowy hillside near the trees. Highland Iris does not spawn alone here, and you will usually find several drifting together at Level 48 and Level 51, which is high enough to punish an underlevelled team.

Engage one and capture it. You will know it worked when No. 11B fills in on your Aniilog page and the Highland Iris appears in your roster, with the entry describing it as a highland dweller coloured maple-red by minerals in the soil.

How to evolve Highland Iris into Highland Irisal

Highland Iris evolves into Highland Irisal, jumping from Lumin to Nova stage. The evolution is gated behind a world boss fight before the option ever appears, and it is also location-locked.

  • Unlock the evolution by defeating the Alpha Irisal.
  • Raise your Highland Iris to Lv. 18.
  • Be in the Russet Highlands when you evolve it.
  • Pay the cost of Sprout Stone x3.

The region requirement is specific to this form. Standing anywhere else with a Lv. 18 Highland Iris and three Sprout Stones will not complete the evolution, so return to the highlands before spending the materials.

Those numbers describe a glass cannon. Attack is far ahead of both defensive values, so Highland Iris performs best when something else is holding aggro and it can stand at range. On the homeland side it brings Leisure Lv. 1 and Grass Lv. 1, and its mobility skill is Blooming, which leaves flowers wherever it dances.

Disco Aniimo trait and combat skills

Highland Iris carries the Disco Aniimo trait. While on Turf, its Damage Amp goes up by 30%. Once a fight starts, every skill hit grants 1 Dance Power, and hitting several targets with one skill still only awards a single point. At 24 Dance Power, the next skill costs no EP.

Vortex of Petals is the heavier of its two combat skills. It drops a large petal vortex at the target’s feet for 60 power at a cost of 20 EP, on a 1-second cooldown.

Floral Storm is the cheaper filler at 13 EP and 30 power. It spins while moving and fires tracking petals, adding one more petal over time up to three at once, and you press the skill again to stop casting. Because it keeps you mobile and keeps hits landing, it is the natural way to build Dance Power toward the free-skill threshold.

Every Iris form in the Aniilog

The Iris family fills an entire Aniilog slot with regional variants, all sharing the number 11 with a different letter. Highland Iris is only one of seven.

The plain Iris at 11A keeps to the Sea of Flowers, so it is the one most players meet first. Its stat line matches the highland variant exactly, and it runs the same Disco Aniimo trait, Vortex of Petals, Floral Storm and Blooming.

Where the Iris (Grassland Form) spawns instead

If you are hunting the grassland variant rather than the highland one, you are looking in the Breezy Plains region, and it has far more spawn areas to work with.

Blitzwood is the densest of the four. Open the Breezy Plains map and head for the central part of the woods, where the grassy hills hold roaming Iris in the mid-forties.

Work past the stone ruins on the way through. Sunny Daisy grows along that stretch and single Iris tend to idle nearby, which is a useful fallback if the larger group has already been cleared.

The reliable cluster is up on the ridge near the purple flowers, around the coordinates -0351, 0676. Touching one of them registers the Irisal (Grassland Form) card in your log, which is the fastest confirmation that you are in the right patch of Blitzwood.

Grassland Form Iris evolves into Irisal, a Nova stage Grass DPS with 100 HP, 118 Attack and 70 Defense that also lives in Blitzwood between Levels 40 and 45. That gives you two routes to a fully evolved Iris, though the highland line is the one that stays maple-red, and it is the only one you can finish without leaving the Russet Highlands.
