Hummin has two looks in Aniimo, and only one of them is the reddish, mineral-skinned Mountain Form. The base grassland version shows up all over the early map, but the Mountain variant is locked to a couple of specific regions, and the easiest place to grab one is a stretch of open hillside you can walk to in under a minute.
Quick answer: Fast travel to the Sea of Flowers and head north of the region’s waypoint. Wild Hummin (Mountain Form) roam the grassy hills there in groups at roughly Lv. 39–41.
Hummin (Mountain Form) locations in Aniimo
Mountain Hummin, listed as No. 20B in the Aniilog, only lives in two places: the Sea of Flowers and Berylline Vale. The Sea of Flowers is the practical pick, since the spawns there sit in the open on rolling grass rather than tucked into terrain.
The region sits in the Lv. 39–41 band, so the wild Hummin you find will be somewhere around that level. They are a Grass element Break-role Aniimo, and you can spot them by the pale green leaf icon next to their nameplate. Visually it is an orange, round, turnip-shaped creature with stubby arms, green leaves, and two pink flower buds on its head.
The regular Hummin you may already have caught in Nimbus Fields, Mistwoods, The Argent Strait, Blitzwood, or the Forest of Falling Stars will not turn into the Mountain Form. The two are separate Aniilog entries and have to be caught separately.

How to confirm you caught the Mountain Form
After a successful capture, open the Aniilog and look at entry No. 20B, Mountain Hummin. The base Hummin occupies No. 20A, so if 20B is still locked, what you caught was the standard form. The Mountain entry also carries its own log description about mineral-red skin that thickened to hold water, which is different from the base creature’s grassland singing blurb.

Mountain Hummin evolutions at Lv. 18
Mountain Hummin evolves from a Lumin-stage Aniimo along two branches. At Lv. 18, both routes become available, though one requires an additional task before its evolution choice appears.
| Evolution | Requirements | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Mountain Hexxin | Lv. 18 Mountain Hummin | Night Stone x3 |
| Mountain Tuckin | Reach Lv. 18 with Mountain Hummin, defeat the Omega Tuckin, then spend 20 seconds digging in the great mud pit at Berylline Vale. | Sprout Stone x3 |
The Tuckin branch is the involved one. You first have to beat the Omega Tuckin, which is found in the Mistwoods, and then take your Mountain Hummin to the mud pit in Berylline Vale and use its Dig In mobility skill at the entrance. Stay burrowed for the full 20 seconds; cutting it short does not register the unlock. Once both conditions are done and the creature hits Lv. 18, the second option appears next to Mountain Hexxin.
To evolve, press Esc (Options on PS5, Menu on Xbox), open Aniimo Management, select your Mountain Hummin, and hit the Evolve button beside Level Up. If the button is missing, the requirements are not met yet.
Evolution preserves the regional variant. A Mountain Hummin always evolves into a Mountain form, and a base Hummin always evolves into the base line, so there is no way to convert one into the other after the fact except by catching the correct variant or using a Morph Ball beforehand.
Mountain Hummin stats and abilities
Mountain Hummin shares its stat spread with the base form. It is a Break-role Grass Aniimo built around magic defense and HP rather than raw attack.

| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| 94 | |
| 68 | |
| 80 | |
| P.Def | 71 |
| 94 | |
| Regen | 60 |
| Base total | 467 |
Its trait, Energized, adds 2 percent BREAK damage for every 1,000 max HP, which scales with gear and levels rather than needing setup. The innate attack is a close-range physical Grass strike tied to the Break role.
Combat skills
| Skill | EP cost | Power | Cooldown |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | 39 | 1s | |
| Plant Charge | 10 | 39 | 1s |
| 0 | 30 | 18s |
Gravel Tackle is a dash attack that rams the target and deals Earth damage, making it the pick against enemies that resist Grass. It is physical damage, and the short cooldown means you can chain it between basic attacks.
Plant Charge is the Grass equivalent, another body slam dash with the same cost and output. Euphoric Sonic Blast is the magic option: a scream that hits enemies in a cone ahead and restores energy on use, so it costs nothing to fire beyond the long cooldown.
Mobility skills
The Mountain Form carries two mobility abilities instead of one. Dig In roots it firmly into the ground and is the skill the Tuckin evolution depends on. Luminous Seed throws glowing seeds that light up the area where they land, which is handy in dark caves and for puzzle rooms that need visibility.
That extra utility is the main practical reason to pick up the Mountain variant even if you already have a base Hummin sitting in your roster.
