Aniimo: How to Get Highland Form Ignitis

Trigger the night spawn in Blitzwood or evolve a Highland Wisptis, plus the stat figures for both forms.

Ignitis (Highland Form) is the Dark/Fire counterpart in the Wisptis line, classed as a Nova-stage DPS under Aniidex No. 041. It isn’t an ordinary roaming catch: the game adds one to the world after you defeat a set quota of Wisptis in their habitat at night, or you can obtain one by evolving a Highland Wisptis.

Quick answer: At night in Blitzwood or Zephyrus Landbridge, twine into a base Ignitis and defeat six Highland Form Wisptis. A Highland Form Ignitis then spawns right next to you, ready to catch.

What you need before you start

The wild spawn method hinges on controlling an Ignitis while you fight, so you need one in your party first. Hatching, catching, or evolving all work, and an Alpha or base Sparkling Ignitis qualifies too.

  • A base form Ignitis in your active battle party.
  • The in-game time set to night, since Highland Form Wisptis only appear after dark.
  • At least one Aniipod on hand. An Aniipod Ultra gives a guaranteed capture.

Where Highland Form Ignitis spawns

Wisptis and its evolved form can be found in two locations within Breezy Plains. Blitzwood is the more manageable choice, with lower-level residents; the heaviest concentration of Wisptis lies in its northeast corner, useful when hunting the required six.

Make it nighttime by advancing the clock or waiting for nightfall before setting out. In daylight, the habitat has no Highland Form Wisptis, so the targets needed for the trigger won’t be there.

Catch it from the wild spawn (six Wisptis)

Change the time setting to night before starting. Highland Form Wisptis only appear after dark, and the chain cannot begin without them active in the area.
Use the map to choose Breezy Plains, then select Blitzwood. The habitat listing identifies Wisptis (Highland Form) and shows their nighttime availability, confirming that your destination and timing are correct.

Add an Ignitis to the lineup you bring into combat. The takedowns count only while you are twined as Ignitis, so check the party screen and ensure it is ready to switch in.

Search the northeastern section of Blitzwood for fiery Wisptis among the trees. In the open world, a dependable dense group can be found near coordinates 0289, 1452.
Twine into Ignitis, then defeat six Highland Form Wisptis nearby. Capturing them will not advance the trigger; move from one spawn point to another and win each encounter instead of fleeing.

Stay put after the sixth kill. The banner “Ignitis has appeared nearby to protect Wisptis!” appears, and a Lv. 54–55 Highland Form Ignitis drops in right beside you, usually behind your character.
Turn to face the spawned Ignitis and throw an Aniipod. You can weaken it in a fight first or throw straight away. An Aniipod Ultra locks in a guaranteed capture.

Evolve a Highland Wisptis instead

Already have a Wisptis (Highland Form)? You can evolve it instead of searching for a wild one. The requirements are strict, and every one must be satisfied at once.

Wisptis

  • Your Wisptis (Highland Form) must reach Aniimo Lv. 29.
  • Defeat three Wisptis that share your Form without breaking the streak.
  • Be located in Zephyrus Landbridge when the evolution takes place.
  • Pay the cost of Night Stone x1.

The “in succession” part is the trap. Breaking the streak with another creature or a lost fight resets the three-kill run. Between the two routes, the wild spawn is usually faster, since six fights in Blitzwood at night beats levelling a Wisptis to 29 and holding a clean streak.

Base stats for both forms

Wisptis gains points in every stat when it becomes Ignitis, with defense and energy regeneration improving the most. Their Dark and Fire elements and DPS classification remain the same.

Highland Form Ignitis weighs 8 kg and stands 1.65 m tall. Its element level is 3, and it keeps the family’s Cloak mobility and Fly pathfinding, so it can slip past terrain other creatures cannot.

How to confirm the catch worked

The first confirmation is its arrival point: Highland Form appears right beside you rather than at a distant spot on the map. After a successful throw, check your Aniimo storage; Ignitis (Highland Form) should be listed separately from the base Ignitis you had under control. Its Aniidex card shows No. 041, Highland Form, Nova Stage, with DPS and Cloak tags. For a final check, deploy it in the overworld: it flies, and you can access its Cloak skill from the field menu.

The Forest Form uses the six-Wisptis trigger in another location. Begin with the Lv. 47 Alpha Ignitis from Berylline Vale, then head to Mistwoods and defeat six Wisptis with Ignitis under your control to bring out Forest Form. Either way, set aside a Night Stone if you intend to raise your own Highland Wisptis later.
