Mountain Woods Iris is the green-petalled regional variant of Aniimo No. 011, filed in the Aniilog as No. 11G. It is a Grass-element DPS at the Lumin stage, and unlike the starter-friendly Iris forms, it only turns up in two places, both of them well past the level band you will be sitting at during your first afternoon in Idyll.

Quick answer: Mountain Woods Iris spawns only in Beast Fang Ridge (Lv 30–35) and Berylline Vale (Lv 40–47), both in Breezy Plains. Go to Beast Fang Ridge first — it is the softer habitat.

Mountain Woods Iris habitats and spawn levels

Two habitats carry this form, and the gap between them matters more than the distance on the map. Beast Fang Ridge has both the bigger population and the lower levels, which makes it the practical destination. Berylline Vale is worth saving until your own team has caught up.

Before you travel, open the world map, zoom into Breezy Plains and pull up the Aniilog habitat entry for the form. Selecting it paints the spawn zones onto the map as yellow squares, so you can line up a teleport point next to a patch instead of guessing which ridge is the right ridge.

How to find Mountain Woods Iris in Beast Fang Ridge

Pick the teleport waypoint closest to the highlighted habitat squares and fast travel in. You will drop onto open ground rather than inside the rocky interior, which is where the Irises actually drift.

Head for the grassy hillsides and work the valley immediately west of the ridge. The reliable marker is the run of purple flowers along the cliffside rocks — Irises wander in loose clusters around them, and their green petals stand out against the taller grass.

If no creatures appear in the valley, exit the zone and return immediately to refresh the spawns. Since the habitat contains 69 spawn points, that follow-up sweep commonly reveals several.

Mountain Woods Iris sleeps at night, and a sleeping target cannot flee, so a night visit gives you all the time you need to line up a throw.

Catch chance and how to improve it

The level gap is the true restriction. Capture generally works only when you are roughly ten levels from the target, so an underleveled trainer using pods on a Lv 45 Iris in Berylline Vale receives nothing. Beast Fang Ridge is the solution to that issue.

  • Base catch chance on a wild spawn: 50%
  • Break the target beforehand to make the chance 1.5 times higher.
  • Throwing from behind gives a 1.5x chance multiplier.
  • A Sparkling variant has base odds of 1 in 20,000.
  • Nature rolls 50% Cheerful, 50% Sensitive

Either an Aniipod Ultra or a Sparkling Cube guarantees the catch even when the levels differ, though using one on a common regional form wastes a valuable resource. First break the Iris and move behind it; then a standard pod is sufficient.

Confirming the catch registered as No. 11G

After the pod lands, the capture banner names the Aniimo and the creature drops into your box or party. Open the Aniimo management menu and the new catch shows its level, its Grass element, the DPS role and its ability list — that entry is your confirmation the throw stuck.

Switch to the Forms tab to verify you caught the right variant. The 3D model, the habitat listing and the Form Research Results all sit on one screen, and filling this slot bumps the family’s research bonus — ATK +2.0% and REGEN +1.0% once Mountain Woods Form is logged. In the Aniilog, No. 11G sits between Plateau Iris (No. 11F) and Irisal (No. 12A).

Do not release it afterwards. Clovis’s Come Out, Floret request in Bloomville checks that all six regional Iris forms are currently sitting in your box or party, not that you once caught them.

Mountain Woods Iris stats, trait and skills

The spread is lopsided towards damage and nothing else. Attack and magic attack both sit at 101 while HP is low and both defenses are thin, so this is a Grass caster you park at the back of a fight rather than in front of one.

Its trait is Disco Aniimo. Damage Amp increases by 30% while it stands on grass. After combat begins, each skill hit awards 1 Dance Power; even a skill striking several targets grants just one stack. Once 24 stacks are reached, the next skill costs no EP.

Combat and mobility skills

Vortex of Petals is the more powerful of the two combat options. It creates a large spinning vortex beneath the target, costs 20 EP, has 60 power, and comes with a 1 second cooldown.

At 13 EP and 30 power, Floral Storm serves as the inexpensive filler. The Iris moves and spins as it sends tracking petals outward; another appears over time, up to three simultaneously, and pressing the skill again ends the cast. Its innate attack is a 6-power ranged magic hit. Blooming, the mobility skill, is purely visual—flowers appear wherever it dances.

How to evolve Mountain Woods Iris into Mountain Woods Irisal

The Lumin to Nova jump is gated by a boss fight and a location before it is gated by levels. All four conditions have to be true at once:

Irisal
Irisal. Image: Pawprint Studio
  • Defeat the Alpha Irisal to unlock the evolution
  • Your Mountain Woods Iris must be Lv. 18 or higher
  • Performing it requires you to be inside Beast Fang Ridge.
  • Cost: Sprout Stone x1

Because the habitat begins at Lv 30, the level requirement is never the actual obstacle. The Alpha battle and location lock are the real barriers; defeat the Alpha during the same visit used for hunting, and you can evolve on the spot.

Telling Mountain Woods Iris apart from the other Iris forms

Iris has six regional forms plus a Prismana variant, they all share the same base stats and skills, and several of their level bands overlap. That makes it easy to catch one, assume No. 11G is filled, and only notice later that the slot is still empty. The Aniilog text for this one is specific about mountain forests and petals with a lustrous green glow.

Prismana Iris is the odd one out, tied to the Sea of Flowers rather than a regional habitat of its own. Read the name on the capture banner instead of trusting the silhouette, and once the Mountain Woods slot is filled the rest of the family is just a travel checklist.
