Aniimo: How to Get Irisalis in the Walking with Irisalis Event

Irisalis is the first Legendary Aniimo in the game, a Grass-element DPS that you unlock through the Walking with Irisalis journey rather than a random pull. The whole path runs through the Legendary Journey event, and it comes down to farming a single currency, crafting one item, and winning one timed fight.

Quick answer: Collect 99 Irisalis Petals, use the Walking with Irisalis menu to craft the Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis, warp to the Vein Rift at the Sea of Flowers, defeat Lv. 53 Irisalis: Rampage before time runs out, and Soothe her to make her an ally.

Open the Legendary Journey event first

Start at the event hub: open the main menu, choose Events, select the gamepad icon in the left tab, and enter Legendary Journey. Irisalis appears there, and the Walking with Irisalis and Trail of Butterfly Shadows tabs show your progress.

Inside the Trail of Butterfly Shadows tab you can open a How to Obtain window that lists every way to earn petals toward the 99 total. This is the requirement gate for the whole unlock, so check it early to see which sources you have left.

How to collect 99 Irisalis Petals

Irisalis Petals split into two buckets: one-time permanent rewards you earn once by finishing content, and weekly-limited shop purchases you can repeat each week. If you have played since launch you may already be part way there, since much of the permanent material has been in the game from the start.

Each Breezy Mission Letter you buy for 428 Glimmer hands you an Irisalis Flower, and using that flower from your inventory converts into five petals plus a Legendary Chest of extra loot. Buying the weekly cap of letters is the fastest bulk source of petals.

The Stamp Shop stocks petals for 50 Windborn Stamps apiece, capped at four per week. You earn Windborn Stamps from dailies, Stamp Rush, the Companion Handbook, and Season Achievements.

The rest come from playing through the world. Main Story quests, Journey Quests, Elite Pathfinder Challenges against NPC Pathfinders, Silver collection badges per area, first-time Alpha Aniimo clears, Branch Nurture, and capturing Prismana Aniimo all pay out petals. Finishing every permanent source alone is enough to reach 99.

Petals also feed the Tracing the Trail: The Shadow of Legend event, which is running now, so its quests are worth clearing while they are live.

Craft the Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis

With 99 petals in hand, return to the Legendary Journey event and open the Walking with Irisalis tab.

Select Craft to build the Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis. It consumes all 99 Irisalis Petals, and you can only craft it once, so you catch Irisalis a single time.

Crafting the pod unlocks the ability to track the Vein Rift where Irisalis waits, so this step is the point of no return in the setup.

Beat Irisalis: Rampage in the Vein Rift

Choose Go Search, then confirm the warp to the Sea of Flowers Vein Rift. The recommended level for this area is 44–46.

Interact with the rift using the Investigate the Vein Rift prompt to open Rift Exploration: Irisalis, then choose Begin Investigation to enter.

In the Rift Space, defeat Lv. 53 Irisalis: Rampage before the 3-minute stage objective expires. She is a Grass type; Fire, Dark, and Wind deal the most damage, while Earth, Grass, and Water are resisted. A healer in your party can help keep you alive until the timer ends.

Once she goes down, approach and press Soothe, then hold the interaction button to Become Allies.

How to know it worked

A success screen confirms the catch with the line “Become allies with Irisalis,” tagged as Irisalis, Legendary, DPS, Grass. From that point she joins your roster as a full Aniimo, and unlike most creatures a Legendary also unlocks the Transmogrify option for cosmetic changes. Since the fight and the craft only happen once, that success prompt is your only confirmation that Irisalis is now yours.
