Aniimo: How to Get Snowfield Form Rookey

Rookey’s Snowfield Form is variant No. 63B. This Nova-stage Aniimo has Dark and Ice elements and fills the Break role. It appears exclusively in the Russet Highlands during snowy weather, hidden inside a large snowball that you must melt before you can fight and catch it.

Quick answer: Wait for snowy weather in the Russet Highlands, teleport to the First Sight Sanctum, melt the snowballs at the nearby tree with a fire Aniimo like Blazen, then catch the Rookey that emerges.

Requirements before you go

Two conditions must be true at the same time for this form to spawn. Miss either one and the snowballs that hide it will not be there.

You are in the Russet Highlands (level 49–51 zone).
The local weather is set to Snowy.
You have a fire-element Aniimo, such as Blazen, ready to morph into.
You are carrying capture pods, since it can take more than one throw.

Open the map first and confirm the Russet Highlands tag reads Snowy. If it shows any other weather, change it before making the trip.

How to reach and catch Snowfield Form Rookey

Open the map and teleport to the First Sight Sanctum in the Russet Highlands. This is the closest fast-travel point to the spawn, so you land almost on top of it.

Leave the Sanctum’s stone ruins and follow the snowy ledge toward a large, solitary tree just past the structure. The path hugs the cliffside, so keep the tree in view as you go.

At the base of the tree you will find three massive snowballs. One conceals Snowfield Form Rookey and another hides a treasure chest, so it is worth clearing all of them.

Take the form of a fire-element Aniimo, for example Blazen, then target the snowballs with a fire skill such as Charge. The heat melts them, cracking the ice and bringing Rookey out into the open.

Engage the wild Rookey once it emerges, then throw your capture pods. It resists at higher levels, so keep spare pods on hand and a stronger pod ready if the first throws fail.

A wild Snowfield Form Rookey here sits around level 53–54, with a base catch chance of 19%. Landing a backstab or breaking it first each raise the catch rate by 1.5 times, so soften it before you commit.

You know it worked when the capture card for No. 063 Snowfield Form Rookey appears and the Aniilog entry fills in. Opening the habitat compendium page afterward shows the completed entry along with its snowy weather requirement and the “Near Sanctum: First Sight” clue.
