The autumn-tinted Mountain Woods Form belongs to Aniimo No. 028 and is among the easiest regional variants to register. It has no story requirement, Alpha encounter, or time restriction. Within Breezy Plains, it appears in two habitats and tends to gather in groups; catching one successfully grants a shield skill permanently to all Flutternyms and Gracewings you own.
Quick answer: Search Beast Fang Ridge (Lv 30–35) or Blitzwood (Lv 40–45), both in Breezy Plains, and catch one in the wild. The base catch chance is 50%, with spawns available day and night.
Put the habitat markers on your map first
Sweeping a Breezy Plains sub-zone by eye is a waste of time when the map will draw the spawn grid for you. The habitat tracker works from the zone’s Aniimo list, so you do not need to have caught a Flutternym already to see where this form lives.

Beast Fang Ridge
For players still near the start of Breezy Plains, this route is quicker because its population is in the low thirties. Trace the valley’s paths and its bordering trees. Flutternyms float visibly in the open at around chest level, not concealed, and several can appear together, making a circuit of the marked squares generally sufficient for more than enough attempts.
Blitzwood
The higher-level group is in Blitzwood, where this variant is surprisingly easier to notice than the ordinary blue Flutternym. Make your way to the orange-tree grove near the zone’s centre. Since its wings blend with the leaf litter, watch for motion instead of relying on colour, and confirm the nameplate before throwing an Anipod.
Capture chance and the multipliers that stack on it
A wild Flutternym Mountain Woods Form has a base catch chance of 50%. Two multipliers stack on top of that, and both are easy to set up because the creature has only 94 HP and 41 BREAK, so it collapses almost immediately.
- A catch made while it is in BREAK receives a ×1.5 multiplier.
- A successful backstab adds a further ×1.5 multiplier.
- At night it falls asleep, making a rear approach much easier.
- The base appearance rate for a Sparkling version is 1 in 20,000.
Aim the Anipod at the target and the blue triangular capture field snaps over it. Because the spawns are dense, a miss costs you nothing more than a few seconds of walking to the next one.
How to confirm the form registered
Your catch counts when the Aniilog shows Mountain Woods Form as a separate entry from ordinary Flutternym. In the Aniimo menu, open the newly captured creature’s card; beneath the No.028 label, the form name appears with its level and CP.
The form registration awards Growth Bud x3, while reporting the discovery gives 100 Credits. Afterward, the Forms menu makes Form Research available for it, starting with an HP bonus of +1.0% and reaching +2.0% as research progresses.
Wind of Regeneration and the rest of the kit
The real payoff for hunting this variant is the skill attached to it. Discovering either Flutternym Mountain Woods Form or Gracewing Mountain Woods Form unlocks Wind of Regeneration, which then becomes selectable across the whole species. It costs 20 EP, runs on a 20-second cooldown, and gives allies in the target area a shield worth 12% of the caster’s Max HP for 20 seconds.
That matters because the rest of the line is built around healing after the damage has already landed. A pre-emptive shield gives the whole family an option it otherwise does not have, and one catch hands it over permanently.
Mountain Woods is a Lumin-stage Aniimo assigned to the Heal role, with Wind and Earth elements instead of the base form’s lone element. It is 0.5 m tall and weighs 6 kg. When it enters combat as the active Aniimo, Flutter Heal increases healing by 20%; off the field, it takes phantom form and restores 0.5% of max HP whenever another Aniimo uses a skill or Ultimate.

Its combat options cover healing, shielding and cleansing, all at 20 EP:
- Wind of Rejuvenation (Wind, 20s) — heals the whole team for 9% of the caster’s Max HP over 8s, with an extra 3% for Wind Aniimo.
- Wind of Regeneration (Earth, 20s) — area shield worth 12% of the caster’s Max HP for 20s.
- Purifying Dance — clears all debuffs on nearby teammates, then raises their EP recovery by 20% for 10s.
- Healing Dance — team heal over 8s plus 40% BREAK damage reduction inside the zone.
- Phantom Dance — cleanses the user, and an off-field Gracewing automatically cleanses the teammate currently active.
Healing Dance belongs to the Sea of Flowers form and Phantom Dance to the Nighttime form, so capturing Mountain Woods by itself does not add either skill to the list.
Its exploration abilities are Fly Lv. 1 and Luminous Prowl. Luminous Prowl surrounds the Aniimo with pink mist and places it in the Cloak state. It has no Ultimate.

Flutternym shares the Beast Fang Ridge valley with Iris at Lv 30–35, while another Iris group appears in Berylline Vale at Lv 40–47. Iris markers cover most of the exposed grass, and the groups stand on the hills instead of beneath trees, making them much quicker to hunt than the nearby leaf-coloured Flutternyms. After you defeat the Alpha Irisal, Iris evolves into Irisal at Aniimo level 18 with a Sprout Stone x1.
In Blitzwood’s eastern orange-grass area, search for Bolty’s Mountain Woods Form. Its coat is a lighter golden-brown than the standard version.
Evolving it into Mountain Woods Gracewing
Reaching the matching Gracewing takes the Mountain Woods Form out of Lumin stage. Three requirements must be satisfied simultaneously, with the third applying only to this variant.
Dense, unrestricted spawns mean that travelling to Breezy Plains is usually the biggest time cost. After arriving, one catch records the form, secures the research rewards, and permanently unlocks Wind of Regeneration for all Flutternym and Gracewing in your collection.
