The Crystal Cave sits on a cliff beside the Argent Strait Bloom in the Breezy Plains, tucked between Nimbus Fields and The Argent Strait. Getting inside is not a matter of walking through the door. The main path is sealed by vines and ice, and the inner cavern is walled off behind crystals and a low gap, which is where most players get stuck.

Quick answer: Teleport to the Argent Strait Bloom, ride the dandelion up the cliff, enter the cave next to the Cave Explorer, then twine with a fire-type Aniimo to burn the vines and melt the ice. The opening down leads to the Crystal Cave at -1217, 0731.

What you need before you go

Two abilities do all the work here. One clears the entrance, the other opens the sealed inner cavern.

  • A fire-type Aniimo to burn the vines and melt the ice blocking the main path.
  • A flying-type Aniimo if you would rather fly up the cliff instead of using the dandelion.
  • An Aniimo with the Tunnel ability, such as Shrubclaw, to reach the walled-off inner chamber later.

The surrounding Argent Strait sits at level 28–32, so bring Aniimo that can handle the wildlife on the way in.

Route from the Argent Strait Bloom to the cave

Open the map and teleport to the Argent Strait Bloom. This drops you close to the cliff that holds the cave, with the region marker near -1261, 0665.
Hop on the dandelion to float up the slope, then climb the cliff next to the area. If you have a flying-type Aniimo, you can simply fly up to the same ledge instead.
Head to the rocky cave entrance where the Cave Explorer stands beside a campfire, roughly at -1254, 0717. Go through the opening next to her.

Follow the glowing blue passage until you reach the thorny brambles under a floating crystal. This barrier blocks the way forward.

Use a fire-type Aniimo for Twine; clear the vines with fire, then thaw the ice surrounding the chest at the path’s end. The way down to the Crystal Cave opens at -1217, 0731.

You will know it worked when the barrier clears, the chest becomes reachable, and the opening down to the Crystal Cave appears on your map.

Reaching the sealed inner cavern

Once inside the amber crystal area, the central cavern looks impossible to enter. One side is blocked by crystals, and the other has only a low hole that ordinary Aniimo cannot squeeze through. There are two ways past it.

Use the Tunnel ability

At the low gap, pair with an Aniimo whose mobility skill is Tunnel, then trigger that ability. It burrows beneath the rock wall to the opposite side; use Burrow Up to surface. Shrubclaw is available early, but any Aniimo with Tunnel works.

Climb and fly up

As an alternative, keep walking after the crack in the wall and look for the spot where the ceiling opens up. Climb a short way, then use a flying-type Aniimo, even a low-level one, to fly straight up into the top of the main chamber.

What you can find inside

The cave system makes the trip worthwhile, offering catchable Rock-element Aniimo along with additional collectibles. Pebbling can be found in the side rooms, while one Geodeback occupies the raised area in the main chamber.

Geodeback does not wander the open cave, so it only appears once you ride the ramp up into the raised part of the chamber. If you miss it, catch a Pebbling from the same cave and raise it, since Pebbling evolves into Geodeback at Level 38.

With the vines burned, the ice melted, and either Tunnel or a flying Aniimo to clear the last wall, the Crystal Cave is fully open and the marker at -1217, 0731 will register as reached.
