In Aniimo, a Prismana Flow temporarily changes a region’s weather: a rainbow glow spreads across the sky, wild Aniimo appear more often, and rare local Prismana forms emerge. Each area on the Breezy Plains map has one specific Prismana target, so starting a Flow gives you a chance to find and catch its undiscovered rainbow variant.
Quick answer: Nurture a region’s Bloom and catch its Wild Surge to raise Prismatic Energy to Full, which triggers the Flow. With the Silver Badge, one Prismana Crystal at the Branch forces it instantly.
What you need before a Prismana Flow can trigger
Every method is gated behind a region’s Area Badge, and each badge is earned by catching more of that region’s species. Rare entries in the collection tab flag this directly, showing tooltips such as “This Aniimo can be found in the Mistwoods Prismanu Flow.” That marker is your cue that the creature only appears while the Flow is active.

The Bronze Badge becomes available at 40% Area Catch Completion; registering a region’s species in a single pass unlocks the entire loop. Collect 30 Lumin Amber across the open world and turn it in at that region’s Branch. Your companion robot BINI calls out nearby Amber and sets a tracker pointing directly to each pickup.
Method 1: Nurture the region to raise Prismatic Energy
This is the repeatable, no-crystal route. You build a region’s Prismatic Energy by nurturing its Bloom and catching the Aniimo that gather, then releasing that energy into the region’s meter.
Switch your companion out of its aggressive stance before the surge to stop it killing the creatures you want to catch. A Tumbler Aniipod is another option for catching multiple creatures at once.

Method 2: Force the Flow with a Prismana Crystal
Once a region reaches its Silver Badge, Ecosystem Intervention lets you change the weather on demand. This skips the grind but burns a limited resource, so it works best for focused attempts rather than farming.
Trigger odds, pity, and Vein Essence
Every Nurture has the same flat 3% chance to trigger a Prismana Flow directly, and a Lucky catch during nurturing raises that to 6%. Runs that miss still feed the area meter, and progress toward the guarantee is capped: the pity fires at 10,500 Prismana, so a dry streak is bounded rather than open-ended. Offering quality does not change Wild Surge quality, so an inexpensive material like Growth Fruit covers the entry cost fine.
You get free nurture chances each day, and the Nurture screen counts down your remaining attempts. Beyond the free allowance, spend Vein Essence to keep going. Vein Essence comes from these sources:

How to know it worked and catch the spawn
The moment the meter fills or the roll succeeds, a short cutscene plays and the map marks the exact location of the Prismana Aniimo that has spawned. The rainbow Flow icon also lands on your HUD. Open the map, and the newly unlocked Prismana entry can now be tracked in the field.
Drop a Custom Marker on the spawn and hit the Track button to navigate straight to it. The spawn does not linger, and some regions note that only one can appear at a time and it does not respawn, so plan your capture before you head over.
You typically get one attempt at the spawned Prismana, so bring a high catch-rate Aniipod. If you want the rarest possible result, a Sparkling Cube guarantees the catch and turns it into a Sparkling variant. Once it is in your collection, that region’s rainbow entry is filled in and the Flow’s job is done.
