Aniimo Island Adventure: Nightfall Tales Walkthrough

Island Adventure: Nightfall Tales is a Journey side quest in Aniimo that continues the lore of the Helmuts and Helgons after your first trip to the offshore island. It is short, built around a single time-and-form trick, and pays out crystals, credits, and a collectible archival chip once you sit in the right seat as the right creature.

Quick answer: Finish Helmut’s Island Adventure and the Warrior quest, twine as a Helmut to get snatched to the island, set the clock to night, then twine as a Pawney and choose View on the empty stone seat.

Requirements to unlock Nightfall Tales

The quest only appears after two earlier quests are complete. Both give you the tools you need, so clear them first or the Dragon Legends II clue will not open.

Helmut’s Island Adventure — completing it unlocks the Dragon Legends II clue that points back to the abduction spot.
Warrior (The Legend of Helmuts and Helgons) in Russet Highlands — this is where you first obtain Pawney, the creature form the quest requires.

The island sits just north of the shoreline between Breezy Plains and Russet Highlands, and you reach it the same way as before, by being carried there rather than travelling on your own.

How to complete Island Adventure: Nightfall Tales

Track the Dragon Legends II clue and follow its marker to the cliff location where the Scar-faced Helgon abducted you in the first island quest. Twine as a Helmut there, and the Helgon carries you back onto the island.

On the island, find the vacant stone seats beside the beach campfire, where the Helgon is seated. Before taking any other action, open the main menu and set the clock to Nighttime.

Open your Aniimo inventory and twine with a Pawney to take its form. The mossy seat is tied to the legendary Pawney, so you must be in that form for the next interaction to work.

Approach the vacant stone seat, then select View. The Helgon and Rookey gathering begins, followed by the Night Talk scene at the campfire.

Watch the cutscenes covering the history of the Jawlings and Helmuts. You can skip them if you prefer. Once the story summary closes, the quest wraps up on its own.

If nothing triggers at the seat, confirm the clock is set to night and that you are actually in Pawney form rather than your own character or a Helmut.

How to confirm the quest is complete

The summary screen for Late-Night Talk of Helmuts and Helgons first displays an ancient mural, then closes. Once it is gone, Journey: Island Adventure: Nightfall Tales is complete, and its rewards enter your inventory.
