Meet Wally, gather the clues, win the assessment, and lock in your Grade II Student promotion.

Meet Wally, gather the clues, win the assessment, and lock in your Grade II Student promotion.

Promotion: Dewdrop Crystal’s Resonance is a Growth Quest in Aniimo that ends with your character being promoted to Grade II Student and your Aniimo level cap rising to 35. You accept it from Dr. Lewis, track down a researcher named Wally in the Sea of Flowers, and pass a Level 25 assessment battle.

Quick answer: Reach Level 25, finish Elite Training Chapter 1, then call Dr. Lewis, examine the clues near Wally in the Sea of Flowers, beat his Grass/Water/Wind team, answer All of the Above at Dr. Lewis, and complete one Resonance Star-Up.

Requirements to unlock the quest

The Growth Quest appears only after you meet three conditions. All of them come from the early main story, so you will likely have most of them by the time you finish Chapter 1.

  • Complete the Unbegun Ceremony main quest, which is the direct prerequisite.
  • Reach Level 25 through side quests, catching Aniimo, or exploring the map.
  • Finish all missions inside Elite Training Chapter 1.

Once those are cleared, calling Dr. Lewis makes the quest available to accept.

Walkthrough: from Wally to your promotion

Call Dr. Lewis to accept the Growth Story. Open the map and fast-travel to the Bloomville teleport point near the Sea of Flowers, then run through the purple flower field toward the quest marker to find Wally.
Talk to Wally. A short scene plays where he watches a Flutternym drift overhead before it flies off. Approach him to trigger the Lost in Research prompt.

Use the Observe interaction on the clues around the field. Click each glowing clue bubble that appears to analyze the floral fragrance and the condensed Vein energy left behind.

Speak with Wally again, then call Dr. Lewis. He confirms that what you found is a Dewdrop Crystal, a material used to strengthen your Aniimo through Star-Up.
Tell Wally about the Dewdrop Crystal and select Start Duel to begin the Level 25 assessment battle. Wally fields Grass, Water, and Wind Aniimo, so bring Fire, Electric, and Light Aniimo to counter him.

After the win, Helion or Lunara remembers a new ability. Helion, for example, learns the REGEN skill Sun-Kissed. Return to the outpost and talk to Dr. Lewis to take the promotion test.

Answer Dr. Lewis’ questions. Choose All of the Above for every question to pass and earn the Grade II Student promotion.
Talk to Dr. Lewis once more. He explains that Dewdrop Crystals feed the Resonance Star-Up system. Perform one Resonance Star-Up to close out the quest.

The three promotion answers in this quest are all “All of the Above,” so you can clear the quiz without guessing.

How to beat Wally’s assessment

Wally’s roster is built entirely around Grass, Water, and Wind Aniimo. Countering all three at once is straightforward if you slot the right elements before pressing Start Duel.

You control Helion during the fight. Work through Wally’s team one Aniimo at a time, and the Battle Won screen appears once his final Aniimo is down.

Rewards

Completing the quest grants two Active Skills and one Passive Talent, alongside progression items. The Grade II Student promotion also raises your Aniimo level cap to 35.

  • Gravity Pull
  • Mega Mallet
  • Boss Breaker
  • World Aniimo Level Up
  • Report Card +4

How to confirm the quest is complete

Two on-screen confirmations tell you everything worked. After the battle, Wally states that you passed the assessment and a Full Marks summary appears. Once you finish the Resonance Star-Up, a Growth Story prompt confirms completion of Promotion: Dewdrop Crystal’s Resonance and the Grade II Student promotion, with your Aniimo level cap now set to 35.
