Aniimo is free to play with optional purchases, and a lot of the early chatter around it has centered on whether the game shoves its store in your face. It does not. The store sits inside the main menu like any other tab, and you only see currency packs if you deliberately walk yourself to them.
Quick answer: The shop does not open on its own. Reaching the currency screen takes three to four manual clicks: open the menu, select Shop, choose Top-Up, then pick a pack.
How to open the shop in Aniimo
Your player ID is displayed in the top-left corner of the menu screen, which is worth knowing if you ever need it for a support request.
Lumin Crystal prices on the top-up screen
Lumin Crystals serve as the premium currency. In-game, they are described as something created at Idyll’s beginning by the Aeons, with a brilliant glow that has remained undimmed through the ages. They are available in set tiers, and the quantities on the PlayStation Store are the same as those shown on the in-game top-up page.

Those totals fold in a standing extra. The $14.99 tier lists 980 crystals plus 98 extra, and the $29.99 tier lists 1,980 plus 198. Each tier also carries a one-time first-purchase bonus, shown on screen as First-Time Bonus: 980 for the $14.99 pack and 1,980 for the $29.99 pack.
What the Aniimo shop sells
Everything below lives behind the same menu path. None of it interrupts exploration, and none of it is pushed at you mid-quest.
Outfits and skins
Cosmetics are priced at 680, 980, and 1,280 Lumin. The lineup includes Razor Edge, Silent Owl Spirit, Nightshadow Dash, Frostburst Punk, Adorable Paw Talk, Batlock Holmes, and Frostwolf Spirit. They are purely appearance items, each with a short flavor line:
- Silent Owl Spirit — “Dashing and refined, with calm, elegant confidence.”
- Frostwolf Spirit — “Cold light shines on a lone wolf on the prowl, its figure as cool and clear as first frost.”
- Nightshadow Dash — Gentle moonlight illuminates a swift, shadowy figure racing through the darkness.
- Frostburst Punk — “Never miss a beat. Shatter the silence and let your rock soul roar.”
Capture and upgrade items
Two catching tools are sold directly for Lumin. The Aniipod Ultra costs 200 Lumin and the Sparkling Cube costs 1,500 Lumin, both with stated capture-rate guarantees. Progression materials also appear in the item tab, including Potential Seed, Capability Fruit, Prismatic Stone, Prismana Orb, Tumbler, Aniipod Trace, Vein Essence, and Veinlit Fruit. Prismatic Stone is formed deep within ancient Veins and holds pure, powerful energy.
Lumin bundles
The bundles menu groups resources into fixed packages, from a cheap starter pack up to a large collection pack.

Monthly Pass
The Monthly Pass costs $4.99 and pays out 330 Lumin Crystals immediately. Over the following 30 days it distributes 3,000 Glimmer and 6,000 Companion EXP in daily chunks, doubles the Primegy cap, cuts two hours off egg hatching, and stores unclaimed rewards for up to five days.
Glimmer is earned, not bought
The diamond-shaped Glimmer currency is separate from Lumin Crystals and comes from playing. Daily Activity Quests, Elite Training, defeating Alphas, Courses, and regular quests all award it, and the launch events hand out more on top. Many of the progression items stocked in the shop can also be gathered through normal play, so the store functions as a shortcut rather than the only route.
How to confirm there are no shop pop-ups
The check is simple. Play normally for a session and count how many times a store page appears without you opening the menu first. The answer is zero, and the only way to land on the currency page is to click through the menu yourself. The confirmation is the screen itself: if you are looking at USD 14.99 and USD 29.99 packs, you clicked at least three times to get there.
Aniimo is available free on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox, and mobile, with cross-platform play and in-app purchases flagged on every storefront. If you want to test the claim on your own account, the PC build is the quickest way in.
Whether the monetization is fair over the long run is a separate argument, and the Steam discussion boards are busy having it. But the specific complaint about intrusive store prompts does not hold up. The shop is a menu entry, it stays there until you go looking for it, and the rest of the time you are out in Idyll catching things.
