Twining lets you become one of your collected Aniimo and use its abilities to explore Idyll, solve puzzles, and fight. During Aniimo Together, you get to pick an Aniimo to Twine with, and the value of that choice comes down to how each option performs in combat and how quickly it grows into something dangerous.

Quick answer: Twine with Cubbo for the strongest raw combat power, Bonesky if you are building for late-game and boss fights, and Emberpup for early traversal and Fire-based puzzle utility.

How the Twine pick works during Aniimo Together

Aniimo Together is a web event that runs until September 27. You log in, choose an Aniimo, enter a nickname, and can then invite friends to fill out a six-person squad. Completing the event and joining a full squad earns you an Aniipod Ultra plus adventure supplies that carry into the full game once the event ends.

You start on the official Aniimo Together web event page using the same email you plan to play the game with. Your pick is confirmed once the Aniimo and nickname are set and your squad code is active.

Four options stand out, sorted by what they do best. Cubbo wins on immediate combat strength, Bonesky rewards patience, Emberpup helps early movement and puzzles, and Bolty gives you a mid-game combat pick well ahead of schedule.

Cubbo

Cubbo is the top pick for pure combat power. It grows into Grizbo at its Gamma Stage, which carries the Raging Rampage trait. Grizbo builds Rage during battle, gaining 2 points from basic attacks, 10 points for every 10 EP spent on skills, and 2 points when it takes damage.

At 100 points, Grizbo becomes Enraged, raising its attack speed and skill damage by 30% and boosting EP recovery by 25%. That state stops further Rage gain and lasts 20 seconds, during which Grizbo is one of the hardest hitters available. If you want the choice that carries fights right away, this is it.

Bonesky

Bonesky is a ranged, Ice-type option that is fragile in the early and mid game, so most of its early value is out of combat. The payoff comes later. It evolves into Fenrier, which attacks fast, deals heavy damage, and builds a lot of Break, making it strong against bosses.

Fenrier also applies the Ice Bite debuff, which increases critical damage and stacks. Its Nova Stage, Glynsera, is the strongest end point of these picks. Choose Bonesky if you are planning for the long run rather than immediate power.

Emberpup

Emberpup is the most eye-catching free pick, and its Fire element makes it genuinely useful for exploration. You can burn vines, boxes, and other wooden obstacles, light fireplaces, and melt ice. Its Hustle movement skill is the closest thing to a rideable mount you can get early, which helps with traversal.

Its Gamma Stage is Flameruff, whose stats climb sharply before a branch evolution into Scorchhowl or Inferlupa. Both Nova Stage forms are useful, but Inferlupa is stronger thanks to a trait that stacks damage. The trade-off is that Emberpup is more of an early-game and utility choice than a long-term powerhouse.

Bolty

Bolty is the Lightning-type option, and picking it early is the main draw. Normally it can only be caught starting around level 18 to 20, so getting one at the start of your run gives you a strong combat piece well ahead of time. It is more about matchups than puzzle-solving.

Its evolution, Blazen, becomes a powerhouse with the Power Sustain trait. Once its skills land 6 critical hits, Blazen becomes Overcharged, immediately gaining a shield equal to 5% of its HP and reducing all skill EP costs by 12, though it cannot gain UP during that time. The state lasts 6 seconds, combining Breaker output with enough durability to trade into Alpha fights.

Match the pick to how you want to play. Take Cubbo if you want the strongest fighter from the start, Bonesky if you are willing to wait for Fenrier and Glynsera, Emberpup if traversal and Fire puzzles matter most, and Bolty if you want an early combat edge for Alpha encounters. Lock your choice in on the web event, fill your six-person squad, and the pick along with your supplies will be waiting when you enter the full game.
