Wings Unfurled is the vertical solo Sanctum in Forest of Falling Stars, and it is less a puzzle than a flying lesson. Your own Aniimo are locked out at the door, a sealed statue hands you a trial Celestis with Climb Lv.1 and Fly Lv.1, and the entire room is built out of two things: walls with upward triangles on them, and columns of wind. Three optional chests sit off the critical path, and the Sanctum Terminus at the top ends the run the moment you touch it.
Quick answer: Twine with the statue’s Celestis, climb the triangle-marked walls, ride the wind lanes upward, grab chests on the west ledge, the north dead end, and the far west ledge, then Touch the Terminus at 3/3.
Wings Unfurled Sanctum location and entry requirements
The entrance sits in Forest of Falling Stars at map position 738, 1259. Interacting with the stone monument once activates it and adds it as a Transport destination on the world map, so the first touch is worth doing even if you are not ready to run it. Interact again to enter. The entrance card is the contract for the run: it names the Sanctum, shows a required player count of one, and starts the optional chest counter at 0/3.

The room name has moved around. The Sanctum is listed as Wings Unfurled and also appears under the label Soaring Glide; both point at the same Forest of Falling Stars entrance with the same three chests and the same borrowed Celestis. The first-clear reward pays once. Later visits keep the Transport point but not the payout.

A special energy field blocks your own roster inside the Sanctum, which is why the statue exists. Awaken it, Twine with the Celestis it materializes, and stay Twined for the rest of the run, including the final interaction. Nothing you bring in matters here, so there is no prep and no team building to do.

| State | Keyboard input | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Next to a climbable wall | X (Climb) | Enter Climbing |
| While climbing | X (Cancel Climb) | Leave the wall |
| Airborne | Space (Fly) | Enter Flight |
| In Flight | Space (Rise) | Gain extra height |
| In Flight | X (Exit) | Drop out over a landing |
The introductory panel says to tap Space again to leave Flight, but the live HUD shows Space as Rise and X as Exit. Trust the on-screen prompts once you are airborne, or your own remapped keys.
How the room signals its route
Every branch in Wings Unfurled is telegraphed by geometry. Learn these four cues in the opening hall and the rest of the climb reads itself.
- Upward triangle on a wall face: a climbable route up that specific surface. The surrounding ancient stone is not climbable at all.
- Blue-white vertical lane: a wind column that lifts you continuously, but only while Flight is active.
- Round fan pads: landing and relaunch surfaces. Touch down, re-center the camera, then pick the next current.
- Broad stairs and pale stone shelves: forgiving ground between flights, and the safest place to break up a long ascent.
Your movement margin is pinned at a fixed 200 for the whole room, so there is no resource to conserve. What you do have to manage is height: a lane only holds you up while you are flying inside it, and none of the staged lifts are meant to be chained into one continuous climb.

All 3 optional chest locations
All three are Standard tier, so there is no gold chest to hunt and nothing worth saving for a second visit. They arrive one per leg of the climb.
| Chest | Location | Height |
|---|---|---|
| 1/3 | West side ledge past the opening climbs | ~30 m |
| 2/3 | North dead end above the wind stack | ~59 m |
| 3/3 | Far west ledge before the moving pads | ~69 m |
Contents rotate, so do not use the item popup as a route check. Typical hauls include Glimmer, an Aniipod Ultra Voucher, Idyll Ancient Coins, and a material such as Ferocious Fang or Gargantuan Claw. Audit your progress with the persistent counter instead, reading 1/3, then 2/3, then 3/3.
The chest counter and the main objective are tracked separately, and the restoration cinematic plays whether or not every chest is open. Clear 3/3 before you Touch the Terminus rather than planning a return trip.
Checkpoints and fall hazards
Wings Unfurled unlocks six interior checkpoints on top of the entrance pad, and only two of them stand on a visible save pillar. The other four are silent line crossings with nothing on the floor to mark them, which is why a respawn can feel like it dropped you somewhere random. The two pillars are the landing above the twin fans at 35 m and the shelf at 67 m on the western side.
Two hazards do the killing. A floor runs under the entire northern half of the room, so every descent into the wind shaft should be a controlled glide. A second slab hangs in mid-air under the moving-pad approach, sitting between roughly 39 m and 51 m, which means a missed landing on that last stretch resets you all the way back to the previous checkpoint.
How to confirm the Sanctum is complete
Selecting Touch on the Terminus flips it to its completion state, and that single change resolves everything. A cutscene fires, energy spreads outward, and glowing blue-green roots light up along the Vein while your Pathfinder stands beneath them. The challenge then resolves and you are returned to the overworld outside the entrance.
Check three things on the way out. The result screen should pay the first-clear reward of a Lumin Amber plus 200 experience, the chest counter should have read 3/3 before the cinematic, and the entrance should now appear as a Transport destination on the world map. If Transport is missing, you never completed the first interaction with the monument outside.
