Anime Card Farm Traits Guide: All Effects and Roll Chances

Every trait multiplier, its odds, and the smartest way to spend Trait Gems on your best cards.

Every trait multiplier, its odds, and the smartest way to spend Trait Gems on your best cards.

Traits are single stat modifiers you attach to a card in Anime Card Farm, changing its Cash, Health, and Damage values. A card can only hold one trait at a time, so the roll you land directly decides how much extra a card earns and how well it performs. Because the strongest traits are extremely rare, the whole system rewards planning around which cards you keep long term.

Quick answer: Roll traits at the Traits Roll NPC in the middle of the map by spending Trait Gems. Each card holds one trait, and Sovereign is the best possible result at 3x Cash, Damage, and Health, though it lands only 0.01% of the time.

All 17 traits, effects, and roll chances

There are 17 traits in the pool, each with its own multiplier and its own chance of appearing. The tiered families (Fortune, Vigor, Strength) touch a single stat, while the rarer traits stack boosts across two or three stats. Sovereign and Almighty sit at the top, and both are far harder to hit than anything else.

TraitEffectRoll chance
Fortune I1.1x Cash16%
Vigor I1.1x Health16%
Strength I1.1x Damage16%
Fortune II1.3x Cash10.70%
Vigor II1.3x Health10.70%
Strength II1.3x Damage10.70%
Fortune III1.5x Cash5.33%
Vigor III1.5x Health5.33%
Strength III1.5x Damage5.33%
Assassin1.5x Cash and 1.5x Damage1%
Berserk1.5x Damage and 1.5x Health1%
Tank1.2x Damage and 1.5x Health1%
Rich2x Cash0.40%
Emperor1.2x Cash, 1.5x Damage, 1.5x Health0.30%
Phoenix1.75x Cash, Damage, and Health0.14%
Almighty2x Cash, Damage, and Health0.05%
Sovereign3x Cash, Damage, and Health0.01%

Sovereign is the clear best trait because it triples all three stats. Almighty follows with a flat 2x across the board, and Phoenix rounds out the top tier at 1.75x each. Below those, the multi-stat traits like Emperor, Assassin, Berserk, and Tank are strong pulls, while the numbered Fortune, Vigor, and Strength traits are the common filler results.

How to roll a trait at the Traits Roll NPC

Launch Anime Card Farm and let it finish loading into your base.
Walk to the middle of the map and interact with the Traits Roll NPC.

The Traits Roll NPC sits in the center of the map.
Choose the “Open Traits Roll” option to bring up the rolling menu.
Press the “+” button and pick the card you want from your inventory.
Click the gem icon to spend Trait Gems and roll a trait onto that card. The card’s stat panel updates with the new multiplier once the roll completes, which is how you confirm it worked.

Rolling again overwrites whatever trait the card already has, since a card can only carry one at a time. That means every reroll is a gamble that could downgrade a good trait, so weigh the cost before spending gems on a card that already rolled something useful.

Where to get Trait Gems

Trait Gems are the only currency that powers rolls, and they come from several sources. Redeeming codes is the fastest early boost, clearing stages gives a steady free flow, and Gem packs are the paid shortcut.

SourceDetails
CodesActive codes grant free gems; TRAITS! gives 100 Trait Gems plus a Time II Potion, and BRUTALCOMEBACK! gives 200 Trait Gems and 200 Gems
Infinity TowerClearing stages of increasing difficulty rewards gems; the best free method
AdventuresSend cards out on Adventures to earn gems over time
Gem packsPurchasable with Robux for players who want to skip the grind

The Infinity Tower is where free players should focus. Each stage tests your deck against tougher opponents, so keep upgrading your cards to push deeper. Prioritize Damage and Health over Cash when building for the Tower, since those two stats decide whether you survive the fights that pay out gems.

Some code lists spell the trait reward code as TRAIT! instead of TRAITS!. If one version fails at redemption, try the alternate spelling. Each code only works once per account.

Which cards deserve your Trait Gems

Trait Gems are scarce, and a trait multiplier is only as valuable as the card underneath it. A 3x boost on a weak starter still earns almost nothing, while even a modest trait on a high-rarity card produces a large jump in output. Spend your gems where the base numbers are already big.

  • Roll only on Legendary and Mythic cards, which carry the highest base Cash, Damage, and Health.
  • Prioritize mutated cards, since their large multipliers stack with whatever trait you land.
  • Skip transition cards you plan to replace at the next pack tier — a trait on filler is wasted.

Boost your trait odds with the Voodoo Doll

Because the top traits sit at fractions of a percent, raising your Trait Luck makes each gem go further. The Voodoo Doll artifact directly increases Trait Luck when placed in your base, improving the chance of rolling a rare trait. You earn artifacts as drops from the Boss Raid, reachable through the teleport portal in the Plaza.

You can place up to three artifacts on the wooden platforms on the right side of your base, and duplicate Voodoo Dolls stack their effect. If you are about to burn a stack of Trait Gems on a keeper card, equip every Voodoo Doll you own first and level them up with Cash to squeeze the multiplier as high as possible before you roll.

Traits are a long game. Build your income and clear Tower stages to bank gems, save them for your Legendary and Mythic earners, and stack Trait Luck before you roll so the rare multipliers actually have a chance to appear.
