Anime Expeditions is in the middle of its summer update. Update 2.0 — the Summer Siege drop — is live now, and it’s the game’s headline event, adding a fresh batch of content and new units. Update 2.0 — Summer Siege (live now)
Update 2.0, branded as the Summer Siege, is the event running right now and the clear headliner. The developer frames it as a wave of new events and units for the summer. It went live early Monday, August 31 — at 1:00 AM ET (10:00 PM PT the night before, 5:00 AM UTC) — and is set to close Friday, September 11 at 12:00 PM ET (9:00 AM PT, 4:00 PM UTC), with about a week left to run. It’s the biggest event on the board by interest, with more than about 130,000 players signed on.
Update 3.0 — new content and units (next, date not set)
Update 3.0 is penciled in as the next new-content-and-units drop after the summer update, but there’s no real window for it yet. Expeditions Entertainment has attached only a placeholder date, so treat it as a marker that another release is planned rather than a scheduled event with a confirmed start. Even without a firm window, interest in it has picked up: more than about 88,000 players have already marked it, though that’s still well behind the turnout on the live summer update.
Update 1.0 — new content and units (ended August 21)
Update 1.0 was the game’s biggest event to date by interest, and its run has closed. It ran from late Sunday, August 9 — starting at 8:00 PM ET (5:00 PM PT, midnight UTC on August 10) — through Friday, August 21 at 12:00 PM ET (9:00 AM PT, 4:00 PM UTC), delivering a batch of new content and new units over its roughly two-week window. By interest it still dwarfs everything since: more than about 540,000 players signed on, over half a million in all.
Dragon’s Wish Event (ended August 21)
Running in parallel with Update 1.0 was the Dragon’s Wish Event, an item-focused event that opened Monday, August 10 at about 9:55 AM ET (6:55 AM PT, 1:55 PM UTC) and closed early Friday, August 21. The developer built it around daily event quests and rewards, an exclusive Wish Dragon mount, event coins, and a free Unbound Trait for taking part. Its turnout was a fraction of the headline update’s — roughly about 1,200 players signed up — which is typical for a side item event running underneath a major content drop. Because its rewards were tied to the event window and that window has closed, they’re no longer available to claim.
