The Cursed Student (Manga) skin is an exclusive cosmetic for the Cursed Student unit in Anime Expeditions, released on July 17th, 2026. You earn it for free by clearing the M.A.S.T.R.R.: True Love event, then claiming it from the lobby. The event is built around one damage combo, so bringing raw power alone will not clear it.

Quick answer: Run the True Love event with at least one Kenpachi placed in the center of the map and every Cursed Student (Yuta) placed directly beside him. Max out Kenpachi, stop Yuta at Upgrade 6, clear the stage, then claim the skin from the Event menu.

Team requirements for the True Love event

A three-player squad is the most reliable way to clear the event. You can attempt it with fewer players, but three roles let the core synergy hit its full damage window. One player anchors the damage while the others feed off it through a passive.

The required combo is simple. At least one player brings Kenpachi (Kpachi) as the main damage dealer. Every remaining player brings Cursed Student (Yuta), whose passive scales off a nearby ally’s attack power. If you have spare slots, one support unit can speed up the run.

Placement that activates Yuta’s passive

Deploy Kenpachi in the middle section of the enemy path. The center gives the widest attack coverage, so keep him away from both the entrance and the exit.

Place every Yuta directly next to Kenpachi. This range is what triggers Cursed Memory: Follow-up Attack, letting each Yuta add a bonus hit worth 40% of the nearby ally’s attack power. Because Kenpachi outputs the most damage, he is the ideal neighbor.

If a Yuta sits too far from Kenpachi, the passive stays inactive, and you lose a large share of your total damage. Keep the units clustered for the whole run.

Upgrade order during the match

Pour most of your money into Kenpachi. The higher his damage climbs, the more Yuta’s follow-up attacks scale from him. Turning on Auto Upgrade keeps him progressing without manual clicks.

Stop upgrading Yuta at Upgrade 6. That level holds the best balance of damage and attack speed. Pushing past it lowers Yuta’s attack speed, which drops your total damage over time.

Claim the Cursed Student (Manga) skin

Once the stage is cleared, head back to the lobby and open the Event menu. If the requirements are met, the Cursed Student (Manga) skin appears as a claimable reward. Confirm the claim, and the cosmetic is added to the Cursed Student unit’s skin slots.

Spending money on Yuta instead of Kenpachi, which caps the damage the passive can copy.
Upgrading Yuta past Upgrade 6, which cuts attack speed and lowers sustained damage.

Form a dedicated three-player group instead of matchmaking with randoms, keep the Kenpachi and Yuta pair tight in the center, and the combo should carry the True Love event without much resistance.
