The Memory Pendant is a Secret, Unit-type equipment added to Anime Expeditions with the Villain Update (0.5) on July 25th, 2026. It is built for a single character, Cursed Immortal (Black Sun), and pairs a small stat boost with a rewritten version of that unit’s Reckless Control passive. Because it only works on one unit, farming it is worthwhile only if you already own or plan to pull that character.
Quick answer: Clear Crow Hideout Act 2 to roll a 4% drop for the Memory Pendant. Clearing the stage 20 times guarantees it through pity, and it can only be equipped by Cursed Immortal (Black Sun).

Before you farm: unlock Cursed Immortal (Black Sun)
The Memory Pendant is unit-specific, so it stays useless in your inventory unless you have Cursed Immortal (Black Sun) unlocked. That character comes from the Villain Banner. Pull the unit first, then commit to the drop grind so you are not spending runs on gear you cannot equip.

Add to Google Preferences →Where the Memory Pendant drops
The Memory Pendant is a reward from the Crow Hideout Act 2 stage. Each clear has a 4% chance to hand you the equipment, which makes it a fairly rare drop on any single run. There is no way to raise that base percentage on the stage itself, so plan for repeated attempts.
A pity system removes the worst-case luck. Once you complete Crow Hideout Act 2 twenty times without a drop, the twentieth clear guarantees a Memory Pendant. That sets a firm ceiling on your grind, so even with poor rolls you will own the piece after 20 runs.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Source stage | Crow Hideout Act 2 |
| Drop chance | 4% per clear |
| Pity guarantee | 20 clears |
| Equipment type | Secret, Unit-type |
| Usable by | Cursed Immortal (Black Sun) |
Stats and how to reroll them
The Memory Pendant boosts Damage and Critical Chance. Both of these are rollable, so the numbers you land on when you first receive the piece are not fixed. You can push them higher with Equipment Rerolls, and use an Equipment Lock to protect a good roll before spinning the other stat.
| Stat | Range |
|---|---|
| Damage | +1% to +10% |
| Critical Chance | +1% to +10% |
The target is a roll above 9 on both Damage and Critical Chance. Hitting the upper end of each range makes the difference noticeable in combat, so keep rerolling until both stats sit near the maximum.
The upgraded Reckless Control passive
Equipping the Memory Pendant overrides Cursed Immortal (Black Sun)’s base Reckless Control with a stronger version. The unit gains a Black Magic meter that starts at 0 and shifts him between two states depending on whether that meter is rising or falling while he moves.
| State | Meter change (while moving) | Damage output |
|---|---|---|
| Caring State (meter increasing) | +5 per second | 50% of current damage across 75% of range |
| Cold State (meter decreasing) | -2 per second | 150% of current damage across 25% of range |
The Caring State trades raw power for wider coverage, while the Cold State concentrates heavy damage into a tighter area. Managing the meter through movement is what lets you swing between crowd coverage and focused burst.
Confirming you got it
The Memory Pendant appears in your equipment inventory once it drops from Crow Hideout Act 2. From there, open Cursed Immortal (Black Sun) and slot it in. If the passive on his kit changes to the meter-based Reckless Control described above, the equipment is active. If the pendant will not attach to any unit, the reason is almost always that you have not unlocked Cursed Immortal (Black Sun) yet, since no other character can use it.
