Summoning in Anime Final Strike burns through gems fast, and the roster is large enough that it is easy to pour resources into a unit that stalls out a few waves later. The ranking below sorts every notable unit in the current build purely by attacking strength, so you can lock in the heavy hitters and skip the fillers. It reflects the early Update 5 meta as of August 2026.
Quick answer: Prioritize Baldy, King of Curses, Leona (Incarnate) [Max Passive], Falcon (Reincarnated), and Shanks (Conqueror) [Max Passive]. These sit at the top of the SS tier and give you the most damage per summon.

How units were ranked
Placement comes down to raw damage per second, which folds together attack value, attack speed, and range. Units that push out heavy sustained damage rise to the top, while slow or low-damage picks drop toward the bottom. Passive states matter too, which is why several units appear more than once. A unit at [Max Passive] represents its fully upgraded ceiling, so a base version and its maxed version can land in completely different tiers.
Note: Baldy is listed with infinite stats across the board, so treat him as a fixed top-tier answer rather than a unit you compare against the others by numbers.
SS tier: the strongest damage dealers
The SS group is where sustained damage peaks. King of Curses leads the measurable field with an 18,383 DPS figure thanks to a huge 14 range, letting it hit targets long before they reach your line. Leona (Incarnate) [Max Passive] follows at 12,426 DPS off a 25,740 attack, and Falcon (Reincarnated) rounds out the top scorers above 10,000. Shanks (Conqueror) [Max Passive] carries the highest single-hit number here at 50,775 damage, which makes it brutal against tanky enemies even with a slower 43-second cadence.
| Unit | Attack | Range | Attack Speed | DPS |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Baldy | Inf | Inf | Inf | Inf |
| King of Curses | 16,973 | 14 | 33s | 18,383.14 |
| Leona (Incarnate) [Max Passive] | 25,740 | 2.9 | 31.2s | 12,426.20 |
| Falcon (Reincarnated) | 12,710 | 8 | 38s | 10,801.00 |
| Shanks (Conqueror) [Max Passive] | 50,775 | 5 | 43s | 10,152.00 |
| Toeji (Sorcerer Killer) – Spear [Max Passive] | 35,721 | 5.1 | 40.2s | 9,105.30 |
| Hero Slayer (Monster) | 44,868 | 5.4 | 26s | 8,309.10 |
| Berserker (Vengeance) | 23,740 | 15 | 28s | 8,201.00 |
S+ tier: strong builds just below the top
S+ units are excellent damage dealers that only fall short of the SS group by a small margin. If you have not pulled the top summons yet, these are the picks to build around. Toeji (Sorcerer Killer) – Katana [Max Passive] and Gojoe (Strongest Sorcerer) [Max Passive] both clear 6,700 DPS, with Gojoe’s 67,896 attack standing out for single big hits. Majesty (Actuation) is the oddity here, posting a competitive 6,021 DPS off a tiny 3,846 attack because its fast, frequent hits stack up quickly.
| Unit | Attack | Range | Attack Speed | DPS |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Toeji (Sorcerer Killer) – Katana [Max Passive] | 45,700 | 9 | 34.5s | 7,616.60 |
| Gojoe (Strongest Sorcerer) [Max Passive] | 67,896 | 10 | 29s | 6,789.00 |
| Cyborg (Advanced) | 21,262 | 5.4 | 25s | 6,299.90 |
| Naname (Overtime) [Max Passive] | 30,573 | 5 | 22s | 6,114.60 |
| Ace (Prisoner) [Max Passive] | 17,523 | 5.2 | 34.5s | 6,065.00 |
| Majesty (Actuation) | 3,846 | 3 | 24s | 6,021.00 |
S tier: reliable picks for most content
S tier is the deepest of the strong groups and comfortably handles most stages. Gojoe (Strongest Sorcerer) shows up again in its non-maxed form at 5,904 DPS, which tells you the passive upgrade is worth chasing. Whitebeard (Captain) is a standout for its combination of 51,000 attack and a wide 10 range, and Toeji’s Chain and Spear variants both give you long-reach coverage. Pairing these units with the right traits pushes several of them close to S+ performance.
| Unit | Attack | Range | DPS |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dark Captain (Dimension Slayer) [Max Passive] | 13,084 | 2.2 | 5,947.27 |
| Gojoe (Strongest Sorcerer) | 59,040 | 10 | 5,904.00 |
| Jolis (Wizard King) [Max Passive] | 42,570 | 7.3 | 5,831.51 |
| Benomaru (Crimson Commander) | 21,640 | 6.8 | 5,728.20 |
| Vasto Lorde [Max Passive] | 18,000 | 9.5 | 5,494.74 |
| Whitebeard (Captain) | 51,000 | 10 | 5,477.00 |
| Naname (Overtime) | 26,586 | 5 | 5,317.20 |
| Asto (Half Demon) [Max Passive] | 24,862 | 4.7 | 5,289.79 |
| Toeji (Sorcerer Killer) – Chain [Max Passive] | 39,420 | 12.75 | 5,256.00 |
| Toeji (Sorcerer Killer) – Spear | 23,814 | 6 | 5,159.70 |
| Smoker (Seastone) [Max Passive] | 15,930 | 3.2 | 4,978.12 |
| Todo (Clap) [Max Passive] | 12,479 | 4.25 | 4,404.35 |
A, B, C, and D tiers explained
Below the top three groups, damage starts to taper. A tier units still earn a spot on a strong roster and shine in specific setups, particularly ones with useful range or attack profiles. B tier picks work well early or when you need a niche role filled, but they get outpaced as waves scale. The DPS drop becomes obvious once you reach C tier, so promote those units out of your lineup as soon as you have better options. D tier is where output bottoms out. Several of those units carry very wide range but hit for almost nothing, which limits them to early progression or collection.
Tip: Watch for the [Max Passive] label when you compare a unit to its base version. Units like Vasto Lorde, Jolis (Wizard King), and Dark Captain (Dimension Slayer) jump a full tier once their passive is maxed, so investment order matters as much as which unit you own.
Where to spend your gems
Gems are your summoning currency, so aim them at banners that can land an SS, S+, or S unit rather than spreading pulls thin. You collect them by progressing through Story Mode, clearing daily and weekly missions, and redeeming active codes. Once you have a top-tier carry, put your remaining resources into maxing its passive before you branch out to a second damage dealer.
The Update 5 meta rewards focused investment far more than a wide, unfocused roster. Build around a King of Curses or a maxed Leona, feed it the right traits, and let the lower tiers ride the bench until you can replace them outright.
