Valcrad is a Secret-rarity unit in Anime Origins, modeled on Alucard from the Hellsing series. He works as an all-rounder that places traps, applies Bleed, summons Ghouls, and scales its own output as a stage goes on. Getting him is the hard part, and turning him into Valcrad (Unleashed) is what unlocks his full kit.
Quick answer: Reach account level 10, then summon on the unit banner where Valcrad drops at a 0.01% rate. Once you own him, evolve into Valcrad (Unleashed) using 18 Azure Remnants, 11 Violet Remnants, 5 Radiant Remnants, 2 Prismatic Remnants, and 1 crafted Vampire’s Essence.
How to get Valcrad from the unit banner
Valcrad only comes from the summoning banner, and you must be at least level 10 before he can appear as a drop. His pull rate is 0.01%, so plan on stockpiling Gems before you start spending them. Dozens of summons can pass with nothing, which is normal at that rate.

You will know the pull worked when the Secret-rarity Valcrad card shows up in the summon results and lands in your unit collection. Since the rate is so low, farm Gems from daily quests, weekly quests, login rewards, playtime rewards, and the AFK chamber between attempts.

Add to Google Preferences →Evolution materials for Valcrad (Unleashed)
Owning the base Valcrad is only step one. The evolution into Valcrad (Unleashed) is what grants his stronger stats and full ability set. You need four types of Remnants plus one crafted item, and the Remnants all come from the Normal Challenge mode stage as random drops.
| Material | Amount | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Azure Remnants | 18 | Normal Challenge mode (random drop) |
| Violet Remnants | 11 | Normal Challenge mode (random drop) |
| Radiant Remnants | 5 | Normal Challenge mode (random drop) |
| Prismatic Remnants | 2 | Normal Challenge mode (random drop) |
| Vampire’s Essence | 1 | Crafted item |
Run the Normal Challenge stage repeatedly to build up your Remnant stock. Because the drops are random, expect variable returns per clear rather than a fixed amount.
How to craft Vampire’s Essence
Vampire’s Essence is not a drop. You craft it, and it also uses Remnants, so budget for both the evolution totals above and the crafting totals below when you farm.
| Crafting material | Amount |
|---|---|
| Azure Remnants | 30 |
| Violet Remnants | 9 |
| Radiant Remnants | 8 |
| Prismatic Remnants | 2 |
Open the crafting menu, select Vampire’s Essence, and confirm with the Craft button once you have all four Remnant types in the listed amounts. The crafted Essence then goes toward the single Vampire’s Essence the evolution requires.

Adding the crafting cost to the direct evolution cost, you will want a healthy surplus of Azure and Violet Remnants in particular before you commit. Once all five materials are in hand, complete the evolution to convert Valcrad into Valcrad (Unleashed).
Valcrad (Unleashed) abilities explained
The evolved form carries four passive abilities. Together they cover critical scaling, bonus damage against Bleed, boss control, and a Restriction system that gets stronger the more enemies he defeats.
Third Eye
Valcrad starts with a 15% Crit Chance. Every critical hit adds 1% to his range, stacking up to a maximum of 10% extra range. Consistent crits gradually widen the area he can cover.
Bloodthirst
He gains 3% Damage for every bleeding enemy inside his range, capped at 10%. This rewards keeping Bleed applied to nearby targets.
Coffin Trap
When a boss enters his range, Valcrad plants a trap in its path. Springing the trap stuns that boss for seven seconds. Each boss can be caught by this effect only once, and Valcrad can place a new trap once every 18 seconds.
Restriction Release
Valcrad starts locked at Restriction 4 and drops one Restriction level for every 36 enemies he defeats, unlocking a new bonus at each stage. This makes him scale up over longer fights.
| Restriction level | Effect |
|---|---|
| Restriction 4 | +10% Damage |
| Restriction 3 | +10% DoT damage |
| Restriction 2 | Summons a Ghoul every 20 enemies defeated; Ghoul HP equals Valcrad’s current damage stat |
| Restriction 1 | Summoned Ghoul HP increased by 25% |
| Restriction 0 | Ghouls summon every 15 enemies defeated; Ghoul movement speed +60% |
Between the seven-second boss stun, the Bleed-based damage bonus, and Ghoul summons that scale with his own damage, Valcrad (Unleashed) sits among the strongest units in the current meta and slots into most team compositions once fully evolved.
