The 2nd Anniversary update (Update 15.0) adds a batch of new and returning units to Anime Vanguards, and each one comes from a different place. Most pull from a single banner, but a handful are locked to logins, the event pass, raids, or a multi-part evolution. Here is exactly where every new unit lives and what it costs.
Quick answer: Around 90% of the new units come from the Anniversary ’26 Summon Banner. Yuvi is a free login reward, Death’s Grasp sits at Event Pass tier 50, and God Ascended is a four-part evolution of God (Standless).
Anniversary ’26 Summon Banner (most new units)
The bulk of the anniversary roster, including returning units like Kokushibo and new banner additions, comes from the Anniversary ’26 banner in the Summon menu. You spend Cake Slices ’26 to pull here.

A single pull costs 150 Cake Slices ’26. The pity thresholds are 50 summons for a Legendary, 400 for an Exclusive, and 5,000 for a Secret. Base shiny chance on the banner can be doubled from 1.5% to 3% if you own the Shiny Hunter gamepass.

Save pulls until you have enough Cake Slices ’26 to reach at least one pity milestone, so a session always guarantees a unit of the rarity you are chasing.
Earning Cake Slices ’26
Cake Slices ’26 is the anniversary currency used for both summons and the anniversary shop. You earn it by clearing anniversary stages, with the special acts paying out far more than a standard clear.
| Activity | Cake Slices ’26 reward |
|---|---|
| Anniversary stage clear | 500 |
| Anniversary Special Stage act | 5,000 |
| Anniversary Gauntlet act | 9,000 |
The Gauntlet and Special Stage acts are the fastest way to bank currency for pulls, so prioritise them before grinding standard stages.
Yuvi (free login reward)
Yuvi is handed out the moment you enter the game during the anniversary event, so no summoning or grinding is required. Log in while the event is live and the unit lands straight in your inventory.
Death’s Grasp (Remembrance) from the Event Pass
Castorice, listed in-game as Death’s Grasp (Remembrance), is the only unit tied to the Event Pass. You unlock it by reaching tier 50 of the Season 4 pass. There is no alternate source, so progression through the pass tiers is the only path to it.
God Ascended evolution (four Saint parts)
God Ascended is the Vanguard evolution of God (Standless). You first need God (Standless), which is pulled from the God (Standless) summon portal in the lobby, then gather four Saint parts to evolve it at the crafting and evolution counter.

Head to the crafting and evolution counters in the lobby to see the full requirement list before you start farming.

The four parts each come from a different activity, so you cannot buy your way through the whole evolution in one place.

| Saint part | How to obtain |
|---|---|
| Saint’s Pelvis | Buy in the 2nd Anniversary Shop for 10,000 Cake Slices ’26 |
| Saint’s Heart | 1 in 1,000 drop from any Anniversary banner summon |
| Rib of the Saint | Awarded to players who own True Shadow Monarch |
| Left Arm of the Saint | 5% drop from enemies defeated in Shadow Trials |

Once all four parts are in your inventory alongside God (Standless), the evolution menu will let you confirm the upgrade to God Ascended.
Transcendent Song Jinwu quest
True Shadow Monarch, the Transcendent evolution of Song Jinwu and Igros, is unlocked through a Player Quest rather than a summon. To track what you still need, open the Quest Info HUD for your active progress and use the in-game Codex to look up where the required enemies spawn.
Full source list by unit
| Unit | Source |
|---|---|
| Most new / returning units (e.g. Kokushibo) | Anniversary ’26 Summon Banner |
| Yuvi | Free login reward |
| Death’s Grasp (Remembrance) | Event Pass tier 50 |
| God Ascended | Evolution of God (Standless) with four Saint parts |
| True Shadow Monarch | Player Quest from Song Jinwu and Igros |
With that split in mind, bank Cake Slices ’26 from the Gauntlet and Special Stage first, pull on the Anniversary ’26 banner for the roster, and keep the four Saint parts in mind if God Ascended is your goal. Yuvi and Death’s Grasp require no summoning at all, so claim them early.
