Anime Vanguards added Death’s Grasp (Remembrance), an Exclusive-tier unit, in the 2nd Anniversary update released on October 12, 2026. Inspired by Castorice, the demigod of death in Honkai: Star Rail, it fills a Cosmic damage and buff role on the track.
Quick answer: Unlock Death’s Grasp (Remembrance) by completing Tier 50 in the Season 4 Event Pass. Summoning, the shop, and evolution cannot provide it.

How to unlock Death’s Grasp (Remembrance)
The unit is tied entirely to the Season 4 Event Pass. Progressing through the pass earns rewards at each tier, and the unit sits at the very top. Once you clear all 50 tiers, Death’s Grasp (Remembrance) is added to your inventory and permanently registered in your Unit Index.
Because it arrives through the pass rather than a banner, you cannot roll for it, and there is no evolution mechanic to upgrade it afterward. The copy you earn at Tier 50 is the final form.
Event Pass content is seasonal. Finish Tier 50 before Season 4 closes, as the unit is locked behind that specific pass.

The high SPA value means it attacks slowly, so its value comes from the buffs and burst it provides rather than steady tick damage. It leans on Cosmic and Video Game team members to pay off.
Passive abilities
Winged Dragon of Death
Its passive increases Cosmic allies’ damage by 80% and gives Video Game allies 100% more meter gain. When it or an ally activates an ability, its own damage rises by 50% for 60 seconds. Each ally attack also adds 2% Meter.
When its Meter reaches 100%, the unit calls forth the Dragon. While summoned, the Dragon takes over the unit’s attacks, adds 40% of allies’ damage before buffs to its own, removes enemy shields and overshield, and consumes 1% Meter per second. Once Meter runs out, the Dragon leaves with a final strike dealing 300% of the unit’s damage to all enemies.
Death’s Uproar
The unit enters play with its Meter filled to 100%, subject to a 60-second global cooldown, and its damage bonus scales with how much Meter it lacks. Calling in the Dragon adds 2 Ardent Will stacks, so the following two Video Game actives cost no Meter.
With Death’s Grasp obtained or on your team, it can rewind enemies by 10 seconds and restore one stock a single time per match if you are about to lose. This safety net does not apply against bosses or in PvP.

How to confirm you have it
After the Event Pass registers Tier 50 as cleared, Death’s Grasp (Remembrance) appears in the Units section of your Inventory UI and unlocks in your Unit Index. From there you can place it in any stage and slot it into a Cosmic or Video Game focused team to make full use of its meter buffs.
