Trait Rerolls determine whether a unit stays in your active lineup or gets sent to storage, and grinding is the only way to obtain them. Since each mode has a very different payout, choosing the right farming order matters much more than simply adding hours. One mode now refreshes its rewards forever, letting players build reroll reserves in the five figures.
Quick answer: Elemental Towers pays roughly 300 Trait Rerolls per 50-floor cycle and the reward table loops, so clear Odyssey once for the bulk payout, then auto-play towers with the damage keystones unlocked.
How Elemental Towers pays Trait Rerolls
In the hub lobby, Elemental Towers is found inside Dungeons. It contains individual Fire, Water, Holy, Blast, Unbound, Nature, Passion, Spark, Curse and Cosmic towers, with solo progress tracked separately for each one. Rewards appear at floors 5 and 10, followed by every tenth floor, while the full reward set resets after 50 floors and yields about 300 rerolls per loop. Since the sequence never ends, this mode continues paying after other sources are exhausted.

Individual act clears are where the number actually moves. Finishing a stage such as Shibuya Station Act 5 or Edge of Heaven Act 3 hands over 50 Trait Rerolls alongside gems, Stat Chips and elemental shards, and a clean run takes under four minutes once your damage is scaling. A 16-minute session of back-to-back clears lands around 150 rerolls, and the vote-to-skip option after a win lets you jump 10 floors at a time rather than replaying low-value ones.

At Chaos Mode speeds, a stage runs about three to four minutes, which works out to roughly 300 rerolls every three hours and twenty minutes. Push that across a full day of clearing and 350 to 360 floors converts into somewhere between 1,800 and 2,000-plus rerolls. The ceiling is high enough that top players have reached Blast Tower floor 1500 and banked 38,111 rerolls with more than 100 Monarch traits sitting in inventory.

Turn auto-play on once your units out-scale the floor. The mode was built to be run repeatedly, and leaving it running is how tens of thousands of rerolls accumulate without you watching every wave.

Add to Google Preferences →Skill tree perks that make tower floors auto-clearable
Update 12.5 added skill trees and Chaos Mode, and that combination is what turned the towers from a grind into a background task. Skill points come from floor progress, so early climbing is done the hard way — co-op runs across the different elemental towers are the fastest way for a new account to bank the first batch of points.
The Damage Major branch carries the run. Loner, Ultimate Power, Amplifier, Advantageous and Limitless all live there, and three of them do the heavy lifting.

- Loner — up to +300% damage when a unit stands alone on a spot.
- Ultimate Power — a flat +100% damage multiplier.
- Limitless — damage that keeps scaling per kill.
- Cost — cheaper deployments, so you fill the board faster.
- Range keystone — wider coverage for faster wave clears.
Points can be reset and reallocated from the in-match menu, so there is no penalty for experimenting. Reaching level 27 of 50 in the tree unlocks the Max Output keystone, which stacks a large team-wide DPS and money boost on top of everything else. With Loner and Limitless online, even outdated units start posting nine-figure damage numbers, and floors that used to require attention clear themselves.
Trait Reroll farming priority order
Nearly all rerolls come from four modes. Follow them in the listed sequence; entering Gauntlets before your roster is ready is the easiest way to lose a week.
| Order | Mode | What it returns |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Odyssey | Over 20,000 for a full clear, one time |
| 2 | Elemental Towers | ~300 per 50-floor cycle, repeating |
| 3 | Gauntlets | ~150 for last place, more for placement |
| 4 | Gem farming | 5 per shiny normalized |
Odyssey is the one-time foundation, Elemental Towers is the engine that never stops, Gauntlets is a weekly bonus for established accounts, and gems are the passive trickle you collect while doing something else. Alt accounts multiply tower income considerably, since each one runs its own floor progress.
Odyssey: the one-time 20,000 reroll payout
No other activity matches a complete Odyssey clear. The process is lengthy and repetitive, and its reward pool eventually ends, but the resulting five-figure stash can cover months of rolls. Finish Odyssey before investing serious time in other farms.
Gauntlets: 150 rerolls even for last place
Gauntlets offer exceptional payouts, but entry depends on particular units and traits, putting them in third place instead of first. Most new accounts lack the required lineup, and strategy alone cannot bypass that restriction.
Enter whenever you meet the requirements. Even a last-place finish gives about 150 rerolls, while better placement increases the reward, so losing still produces value. Approach it as a weekly tournament: decide on your team and target placements before queuing, rather than making those choices during the run.
Gem farming and shiny normalizing for 5 rerolls each
Rerolls cannot be purchased with Gems. Instead, Gems pay for summons, and shiny units turn that spending into rerolls. Wartorn Warfront provides the active farming route: five daily runs yield 500,000 gems total, making it the quickest hands-on gem source available. Occult Hunt covers the idle route; launch it, turn on auto-play, and leave it running overnight to collect gems without input.
Spend the gems on summons during a shiny event, when pull rates for shiny units are boosted and the Shiny Hunter requirement is in play. Every shiny you pull is a reroll voucher in waiting.

Using Normalize to remove a unit’s shiny effect grants 5 Trait Rerolls, and selling the shiny produces the same result. Batch selection lets you process many units at once, turning large-scale gem farming into a slow but truly passive reroll source.

Daily, weekly and one-time reroll sources
Underneath the big four sit the routine claims. Individually they look trivial, but collected consistently they total around 854 rerolls per week, and most take a few minutes.
| Source | Rerolls | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Daily Rewards | 35 weekly | Log in on days 2, 4 and 7 |
| Challenges | 1 / 3 / 20 | Regular, daily, weekly tiers |
| Bounties | 10 daily | Up to 10 bounties, 1 each |
| Infinite Quests | 3 daily | Reach Wave 50 on listed maps |
| Rift Shop | 50 weekly | 10 Rift Shards per reroll |
| Boss Events Shop | 40 | 4 tokens per reroll |
| PVP Shop | 40 | 1 PVP Coin per reroll |
| Tournaments | 2 to 50 | Place in the top 36 |
| Codes | 20 to 100 | Redeem in the Codes tab |
Standard challenges refresh every 30 minutes, allowing about 20 clears in a day. Maxing the Rift Shop for the week takes around three rifts daily, while the Boss Events Shop requires roughly eight to nine event runs. Ranked matches and daily PVP quests provide PVP Coins. The Traited and Traitless tournament brackets award 100 when both are won. Codes often require a certain level and eventually expire.
Clear the limited-time sources early, since none can be reclaimed later. Achievements provide 420 rerolls altogether, level milestones through level 150 provide up to 206, and the Battle Pass gives 85 through its free track plus 170 from premium.
Trait odds and when to spend at Mandra
Use Trait Rerolls through Mandra, the traits NPC located in the lobby’s Upgrades area. Each roll changes the trait on one unit, and rarity never changes the price: a Vanguard and a common cost the same. The replacement trait takes effect immediately when the roll finishes, without a confirmation prompt.
| Trait | Chance | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Range | 26% | Increased range |
| Swift | 26% | Faster attacks |
| Vigor | 26% | More damage |
| Scholar | 10% | More experience |
| Marksman | 6.5% | Large range boost |
| Fortune | 2.5% | More gold, cheaper upgrades |
| Blitz | 1.85% | Strong SPA reduction |
| Solar | 0.5% | Range, damage, SPA reduction |
| Deadeye | 0.375% | High crit chance and damage |
| Ethereal | 0.175% | Big damage, speed, range |
| Monarch | 0.1% | Triple damage, one unit only |
Desired traits appear less than half a percent of the time, meaning even several hundred rerolls are not a meaningful reserve. Save them for units you expect to use a month from now; early legendaries and mythics are replaced quickly, making hundreds of rolls on one of them the costliest error a new account can make.
Stat rerolls use a different system. Cyan handles them in the same area, and they require Stat Chips and Super Stat Chips. Keep those currencies separate while farming.
There are two places to verify a successful roll: your inventory and Mandra’s menu. Each one decreases the balance by exactly one and adds the new trait to the unit. If the balance stays unchanged, the roll failed to register.
The strategy has four parts: take Odyssey’s large payout, open the damage keystones, and use auto-play in Elemental Towers to repeat the 50-floor reward sequence while Occult Hunt turns idle time into gems and shinies. Enter every eligible Gauntlet whatever the result, and the reroll total will grow faster than Mandra can spend it.
