Another Auspicious Moonlit Night Rolls Around is the short introductory quest that opens the Silverwing in Pursuit of the Moon event in Genshin Impact. It starts from the event menu rather than the open world, sends you to Yilong Wharf in Chenyu Vale, and ends by unlocking the event’s activities and its first questline.
Quick answer: Open the Events menu, read the Letter From Xiangling under Silverwing in Pursuit of the Moon, tap Accept Invitation, then travel to Yilong Wharf and talk through the cutscenes until the quest shows as completed.
Requirements before you start
This is an event quest, so it is only available while the Silverwing in Pursuit of the Moon event is running. The quest itself is a talking-and-travel sequence with no combat, so there is nothing to prepare in terms of team building.
The event must be active and visible in the Events Overview menu.
You need access to Chenyu Vale so you can teleport to Yilong Wharf.
No fighting is involved, so any party works.
The event quest shows a countdown for how long it stays available, so start it within the event window rather than leaving it for later.
Open the Events Overview menu and select Silverwing in Pursuit of the Moon from the list of active events. Read the Letter From Xiangling, then tap Accept Invitation to trigger the quest.
Accepting the letter adds Another Auspicious Moonlit Night Rolls Around to your quest list with the objective “Go to Yilong Wharf.” Open the quest and pick the navigation option to set your route.

Open the Chenyu Vale map and teleport to the central Teleport Waypoint at Yilong Wharf, in the Upper Vale area of Liyue. This is the fastest way to reach the festival.
Run toward the marked festival plaza to trigger the opening cutscene. Xiangling welcomes you and Paimon back and introduces the Moonchase Festival’s new World Food Fair, which this year replaces the usual Masterful Chefs cook-off.
Talk with Escoffier, who is attending as Fontaine’s culinary representative alongside guests from Mondstadt and Sumeru. She discusses recipe insights and note-taking with Xiangling before heading back to her stall.

Continue the scene as Lan Yan arrives with Tianquan Ningguang and Millelith guards. Lan Yan explains that the Lan clan and Chenyu Vale’s local associations organized this international event.
Ningguang says her Yilong Wharf assignment is to align the Millelith’s security efforts with the Lan clan’s. She adds that malevolent spirits become active around this time every year and take control of monsters.
She follows with a history of Liyue’s thaumaturge lineages, identifying the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor’s founder, the Wuwang Kid, and the Lan clan’s forebear, the Wind Reader.
Ningguang declines direct help from civilians for the security work but invites the Traveler to visit the Jade Chamber later, then departs with Lan Yan. This ends the main dialogue.
Once the final cutscene ends, a completion banner reading “Another Auspicious Moonlit Night Rolls Around / Quest Completed” appears on screen. At the same time, the event previews its sub-modes and starts the next chapter.
You will see the banner “Silverwing in Pursuit of the Moon: Part I – As One Might Stride Betwixt the Clouds” begin, which confirms the event content is now open. The unlocked activities are The Great Chase and Dispelling, Banner Against the Dark, and Spiritshot Salvo.
With the intro cleared, you can jump straight into those mini-games or continue with the Part I questline whenever you are ready.
