Ermal, the Nomadic Envoy, has set up a stall in Speranza as part of the 1.29.0 patch, giving late-game Raiders a way to convert hoarded ARC parts and rare weapons into cosmetics, blueprints, stash space, and a new Expedition Vault. He sits under a separate Traders tab and works on item value rather than cash.
How to unlock Ermal
Ermal becomes available the moment your Raider hits level 25. There is no quest, no introduction sequence, and no secondary unlock. Below that level, he appears in Speranza but cannot be interacted with for trades.
If you have just completed an Expedition, your Raider is reset and you will need to climb back to level 25 before Ermal opens up again. Make sure the game is updated to patch 1.29.0 or later, otherwise the Nomadic Envoys tab will not appear.

How trading with Ermal works
Ermal does not accept cash. Instead, every reward has a required item value, and you hand over loot from his eligible list until that value is met or exceeded. The two main currency categories are major ARC enemy parts (Turbine Compressors, Bombardier Cells, Queen Reactors, Rocketeer Drivers, and similar) and rare weapons such as the Hullcracker or Bobcat.
Step 1: Open the Traders menu and switch to the Nomadic Envoys tab. Pick the service or weekly offering you want from Ermal's list.
Step 2: Check the eligible item types and the item value required. Some rewards accept ARC parts only; others want specific junk like Portable TVs or Rubber Ducks.
Step 3: Press E to add items manually from your stash, or use Auto Select to let the game pick loot that meets the threshold. Hold E to confirm the trade.
You will know the trade went through when the reward lands directly in your stash or unlocks in your collection, and the items you handed over disappear from your inventory.

Permanent services
Two services stay on Ermal's board permanently and target the two biggest endgame friction points: stash overflow and Expedition loss aversion.
| Service | Effect | Eligible items | Item value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stash Expansion | +12 Stash slots | Major ARC enemy parts | 200,000 |
| Expedition Vault Slot | +1 vault slot (5 total) | Major ARC enemy parts | 200,000 |
The Expedition Vault is the headline feature here. Each slot lets you carry one item, including blueprints and rare gear, across an Expedition reset so your next Raider does not start from scratch. Five slots is the cap.

Weekly offerings (launch week)
The rotating stock changes every week. Items you miss can return in later rotations, though Embark has not committed to a specific schedule. Launch-week prices are intentionally on the high side and may be adjusted in follow-up patches.
| Reward | Eligible items | Item value |
|---|---|---|
| Tempest Blueprint | Major ARC enemy parts or rare weapons | 1,000,000 |
| Mirage Outfit | Major ARC enemy parts | 500,000 |
| Raider Tokens | Major ARC enemy parts | 100,000–150,000 |
| "Leviathan Crown" Ship Model | Major ARC enemy parts or rare weapons | 100,000 |
| Howdy Emote | Major ARC enemy parts | 100,000 |
| "Sirena Dorata" Ship Model | Major ARC enemy parts or rare weapons | 30,000 |
| Bobblehead Backpack Charm | Portable TVs, Headphones, Projectors | Set items (no value bar) |
| Turbine Compressor | Alien Duck, Rubber Duck, Flashy Duck | Set items (no value bar) |
The Bobblehead Charm and Turbine Compressor trades are the outliers: instead of hitting an item-value number, they want specific Topside junk. The Charm takes portable electronics, and the Turbine Compressor needs the duck trio (Alien, Rubber, Flashy). Expect Ermal to use this "fetch quest" pattern in future rotations as well.
What counts as eligible loot
"Major ARC enemy parts" covers the high-tier components you pull from boss-class ARC machines. Turbine Compressors, Bombardier Cells, Queen Reactors, Rocketeer Drivers, and similar named parts all qualify. Common ARC scrap does not.
For rewards that accept "rare weapons," you can feed in Epic and Legendary tier guns rather than ARC parts. The Hullcracker, Bobcat, and other top-tier weapons all register. Anything below Epic generally does not contribute to the value bar.

How to know a trade worked
Cosmetics and emotes appear immediately in your collection or wardrobe. Blueprints are added to your known recipes and become craftable at the relevant workbench. Stash Expansion increases your visible slot count right away, and a new Expedition Vault slot shows up under your vault interface. If any of these do not update, the items were not consumed, and the trade did not go through.
A common failure is selecting items that look valuable but are not on the eligible list for that specific reward. The required item value will not move when ineligible items are added, even if you fill every slot.
