Completing an Expedition in Arc Raiders means hauling specific materials back to your stash, stage by stage, and most of those materials sit in predictable places. The fastest path is to learn which point of interest holds each item, then build a short loop instead of wandering. Dam Battlegrounds does the heavy lifting because it is easy to move through and usually has the least aggressive players.
Quick answer: Farm the bulk of Expedition materials on Dam Battlegrounds (Power Generation Complex, Water Treatment Control, Research & Administration, Hydroponic Dome Complex). Pull Exodus items such as Exodus Modules, Magnetic Accelerators, Ion Sputters, and Frequency Mod Box from Rocket Assembly on Spaceport, and loot Arc components like Leaper Pulse Units, Shredder Gyros, Firefly Burners, and Bombardier Cells from the matching destroyed machines on any map.

Why Dam Battlegrounds is the main Expedition farm
Dam Battlegrounds is unlocked by default and serves as the introduction map, but it also packs a wide spread of loot types across a layout that is quick to cross. That combination matters for Expedition runs, where you want to grab a few targeted materials and extract before a fight starts. Bring some adrenaline or stims to speed up traversal, and plan a loop that hits two or three of the high-value buildings before you reach an exit.
Most stage materials are mechanical, industrial, electrical, or technological parts, and those zones cluster tightly here. The two exceptions you cannot get on this map are Exodus items and certain Arc machine components, which is why a typical Expedition involves one or two trips to Spaceport.

Expedition 3 materials by stage
Expedition 3 adds residential and old-world pieces such as the Coffee Pot and Breathtaking Snow Globe, both found at the Ruby Residence and the Pale Apartments. Firefly Burners and Bombardier Cells come from their matching machines.

Arc machine components: which enemy drops what
Several stage items are not looted from containers at all. They only appear on destroyed Arc machines, so you have to fight the right enemy to get them. Bring an Anvil or another anti-Arc weapon, take the kill, then search the wreckage.
| Component | Source |
|---|---|
| Leaper Pulse Units | Destroyed Leapers |
| Shredder Gyro | Destroyed Shredders |
| Firefly Burners | Destroyed Fireflies |
| Bombardier Cell | Destroyed Bombardiers |
Note: Steel Springs, Cooling Fans, Light Bulbs, and Humidifiers are the usual bottlenecks because they do not come from recycling and only appear Topside. For Steel Springs specifically, search cars, generators, and machinery around Water Treatment Control, Power Generation Complex, and the Hydroponic Dome Complex. Celeste also sells them.
Spaceport Rocket Assembly: the Exodus item hub
Every Exodus-class material runs through Rocket Assembly on Spaceport. That includes Exodus Modules, Magnetic Accelerators, Frequency Mod Box, and Ion Sputters across the three Expeditions. Spaceport unlocks at a higher experience level and carries more risk than Dam, so treat these as focused trips. A clean loop is to enter, sweep Rocket Assembly, and extract rather than chasing the high-tier loot in the Launch Towers.
| POI | Loot rarity | Loot type |
|---|---|---|
| Arrival Building | High | Commercial, Technological |
| Launch Towers | High | Technological, Security |
| Departure Building | High | Commercial, Technological |
| Control Tower | High | Technological, Commercial |
| Container Storage | High | Industrial, Mechanical |
| Rocket Assembly | Medium | Security, Industrial |

Other maps and their best loot types
While Dam and Spaceport cover almost every Expedition material, the remaining maps are worth knowing for the Load Stage, where you submit combat, survival, provisions, and materials by total value. Living areas such as the Village on Blue Gate are strong for Old World Items and Trinkets, and Stella Montis is reliable for purple and blue items you can recycle into refined materials.

Stella Montis points of interest
Stella Montis is an indoor map with high PvP density, but its four corners hold strong material loot. The Seed Vault is a low-risk pick since each seed is worth coins and you can fill up and leave with little to lose.

The full map list
There are six maps plus a practice range. Access is staggered, so later locations open up as you complete rounds.
- Dam Battlegrounds
- Buried City
- Spaceport
- The Blue Gate
- Stella Montis
- Riven Tides

A future map is tied to the Frozen Trails update, and the chillier theme suggests a colder setting than Riven Tides. No official next map release date is currently confirmed.
How to confirm you have what each stage needs
The Project is divided into five steps, and you can only work on one at a time, so you will not see the next step’s requirements until the current one is done. Submit items during the Expedition window, and the step’s checklist updates as your stash totals meet the quantity for each material. The Load Stage is value-based rather than item-based, asking for combat, survival, provisions, and materials worth set totals, so keep high-value items in your stash and sell or dismantle low-value basics to make every slot count.
Tip: Some rarer components can be crafted at workbenches, and items like Durable Cloth can be made on the Refiner. If a material refuses to drop in a few runs, crafting or buying it from a trader is often faster than chasing the spawn. With Dam Battlegrounds covering the parts, Spaceport handling Exodus items, and a handful of Arc kills filling the rest, a tight two-map loop is enough to finish any Expedition stage on schedule.
