ARC Raiders: How to Three-Star Open Containers in Traffic Tunnels

Everything you need to loot The Blue Gate tunnels fast, hit the score threshold, and extract with your progress intact.

Everything you need to loot The Blue Gate tunnels fast, hit the score threshold, and extract with your progress intact.

The weekly Trial that asks you to open containers inside the Traffic Tunnels is one of the least demanding challenges in the rotation. There is no combat requirement and no obscure trigger. You simply reach one specific area on The Blue Gate, search every container you can find, and leave the map alive. The challenge is active through August 3, 2026.

Quick answer: Deploy to The Blue Gate, go to the Traffic Tunnels via the Outer Gates, and search containers for 100 points each. Open roughly 40 containers to clear the 4,000-point three-star threshold, then extract to Speranza so the score counts.

Map, scoring, and the three-star target

This Trial can only be completed on The Blue Gate. Every container you search inside the Traffic Tunnels awards 100 points, and there is no cap on how many raids you use to reach your target. Progress carries between runs, so you can chip away at it across several deployments if you prefer.

Season 5 removed the 2x bonus that map conditions used to grant, so the Locked Gate event no longer doubles your score. Running Locked Gate adds a longer raid timer, but the extra effort of collecting four security codes to open the gate is not required to earn all three stars. A standard deployment to The Blue Gate works just as well.

ScoreContainers searchedResult
~1,000~101 star
~2,000~202 stars
4,000~403 stars

Note: interacting with a container that another Raider already opened still awards points. You do not need to race the lobby to untouched loot spots, so move methodically and search everything you pass.

A Free Loadout is the smart choice here. You are looting one contained area, not fighting for high-value gear, so there is little reason to risk your best equipment. Spawning late with a free kit lets you jump straight into the tunnels and start searching.

SlotRecommendation
Primary weaponAnvil IV (Anvil I works; the IV’s fire rate clears small ARC faster)
DefenseLight Shield
Shields5–10 Shield Rechargers
Health5–15 Bandages
Ammo80+ Heavy Ammo
OptionalAdrenaline Shots, Hullcracker

Adrenaline Shots help you move between containers faster when you are pushing for a high score. A Hullcracker is useful for dealing with the occasional Comet or larger ARC that wanders into the tunnels. If you decide to bring a full loadout, keep the Blue Gate Confiscation Room Key in your safe pocket. The Confiscation Room sits deeper in the network and holds one of the densest container clusters in the area, opening up weapon lockers and cases that others walk past.

Deploy to The Blue Gate and set your route toward the Traffic Tunnels using the Outer Gates Point of Interest as your marker.
Approach carefully. Rocketeers and Vaporizers patrol the skies above the gates, and Bombardiers wait outside the giant entrance. Rappel down and slip inside to avoid the Bastion that patrols the right side of the entrance.
Work through the tunnel and open everything. Car trunks, breachable containers, lockers, weapon cases, ammo cases, suitcases, desk containers, and wall-mounted panels all count. Check the higher levels of the tunnel and the spots under staircases, above checkpoints, and near tollbooths, since containers are tucked into less obvious places.
Head into the Security Wing. This section is particularly dense with searchable containers and is the fastest way to pull your score up once you have cleared the vehicles in the main tunnel.

Fireballs and Pops are common inside this area. Keep your ears open for the distinct sound of these smaller ARC rushing toward you, since Pops explode and Fireballs breathe fire at close range. Bring enough bandages and rechargers to shrug off the occasional ambush without cutting your run short.

How to confirm your progress and lock it in

Open your Logbook and check the Trials tab under The Blue Gate to watch your container count climb. The first time you search a container, an XP flyout appears on screen, which also tells you whether an area is fresh or already picked clean. A “Milestone Reached” prompt appears each time you cross a star threshold.

The single rule that ends most runs is extraction. Your Trial points only bank when you return to Speranza alive. If you die in the raid, the progress from that run is wiped, so head to an extract point and leave once you are close to or past 4,000 points. Only your best score in the challenge is kept, so a clean extraction at the threshold is all you need.

Searching ARC machines and downed Raiders does not count toward this Trial, so keep your focus on lootable containers. With a free loadout and a steady sweep through the tunnels and Security Wing, clearing three stars in a single run is realistic, and you can keep looting well past 4,000 if you want a stronger placement on the leaderboard.
