ARC Raiders: Tracks of the Beast Walkthrough on Pendola Pass

Tracks of the Beast is a scouting assignment on ARC Raiders’ frozen Pendola Pass map. Shani needs a look at the unfamiliar machines in the area running from the Northern Tracks toward the Fallen Emperor wreckage before anyone attempts a breach. Visit two points of interest and ping two previously unseen ARC units. You do not have to kill anything to complete the required objectives.

Quick answer: Start at Northern Tracks on Pendola Pass, continue to Almatera Station, then aim at one Bully and one Skulker and ping each with the middle mouse button. Extract, then turn in the job at Speranza.

Requirements and the kit Shani hands you

You pick up Tracks of the Beast from Shani in Speranza after finishing Exploring Pendola Pass, so you need to work through the earlier Pendola Pass chain first. Every objective is tied to Pendola Pass, so load into that map rather than any of the older ones.

Accepting the quest gives you a small kit to bring in with you.

  • 2x Lure Grenade
  • 3x Adrenaline Shot

The mandatory objectives must be cleared in a single raid, so plan to tag both machines before you extract.

Complete the mandatory objectives

The route runs through the northern part of the map, close to Railroad Junction and Frozen River. Handle the two location steps first, then look for the machines in the open ground around Almatera Station.

Head to the Northern Tracks point of interest in the northern section of Pendola Pass. Follow the rail tracks and abandoned train coaches. Reaching the area updates the quest on its own, with no object to interact with.
Locate the wrecked station; it is not at the map’s far northern end. Head southwest from Northern Tracks to Almatera Station. Reaching the station registers the objective. You can loot the derelict trains nearby on the way.
Ping a Bully. These large, fast machines patrol near points of interest, and one often roams around Almatera Station itself. Aim at it, then press the middle mouse button (the default ping on PC). You do not need to damage it.

A Bully’s body attack hits for 85 and it closes distance quickly, so ping from cover and move on rather than trading shots in the open.

Mark a Skulker. It stays low to the ground and resembles a high-tech toy car; its white casing is difficult to spot against the snow. Listen for its sounds and search the open fields around Almatera Station. Aim at one and ping it as before. Marking both types completes the required portion.

Pinging the remains of a destroyed Skulker can also register for this objective if you end up killing one first.

Optional objectives: destroy 3 Skulkers and deliver a Skulker Targeter

Two objectives are marked optional. You can skip both and stay on the quiet recon route, or take them on for extra rewards. Both revolve around the Skulker, which is the easier of the two machines to fight.

To destroy three Skulkers, aim for the exposed central weapon turret or the thrusters, and they go down fast. Heavy Ammo weapons such as Bantam, Anvil, or Bettina clear them quickly. A Skulker’s gatling gun deals 12 per hit, so avoid letting several open fire on you at once.

A destroyed Skulker can drop a Skulker Targeter. Loot one from the wreckage, keep it safe, extract, and hand it to Shani in Speranza to clear the second optional task. Collecting the Targeter while you farm the three kills saves a return trip.

Tracks of the Beast rewards

The Epic Wolfpack grenade splits into missiles that home in on targets, dealing 166 explosive damage apiece within a 100m range; completing both optional tasks is worth the additional Skulker farming.

Turn in the quest and what unlocks next

Once both machines are pinged, the quest tracker confirms each objective. Extract through any exit or raider hatch, return to the quest desk in Speranza, and the mission shows as complete. Hit Claim on the reward screen to finish it.

Clearing Tracks of the Beast opens up Bait, Fetch, Blast from Apollo and Belly of the Beast from Shani, which continue the push toward the Fallen Emperor.
