On the in-game map, the Old World symbol on a named place tells you to expect Old World loot there. 8 places carry it across 4 maps: Buried City has 3, Pendola Pass and The Blue Gate have 2 each, and Stella Montis has 1.

Old Town on Pendola Pass has 77 loot container spots in an ordinary round, far ahead of any other Old World place. On Buried City, Town Hall has 20 and Santa Maria Houses has 19, while Old Hamlet on Pendola Pass has 16. The category covers 23 items. They include the Elephant Obelisk (Legendary), the Archive Desk Lamp, Breathtaking Snow Globe and Tellurion (all Epic), and the Equatorial Sundial and Film Reel (both Rare). The symbol describes the place as a whole, so what any one container holds changes from round to round.
