Patch 1.0.6 for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced answers that request directly, adding a toggle that removes the Blow Pipe from view while keeping the weapon fully usable.
Quick answer: Open your Inventory, go to Outfit Selection, pick the outfit you want to change, and press R2 to choose “Hide Gear.” The Blow Pipe disappears from Edward’s back for that outfit.
Install Patch 1.0.6 first
The Hide Gear option only exists after Title Update 1.0.6 is installed. If you don’t see the toggle inside Outfit Selection, your game is on an older build and needs the update before the option shows up.

Hide the Blow Pipe from Edward’s back

Bring the Blow Pipe back for specific outfits
The toggle is set per outfit, not globally. That means you can keep the Blow Pipe visible on modern gear and hide it on the traditional Assassin outfits where it looks out of place.
To make it reappear, highlight the outfit again and press R2 to switch back to “Show Gear.” The Blow Pipe returns to Edward’s back for that outfit only.
Does hiding the Blow Pipe change how it works?
No. Hiding the Blow Pipe is purely cosmetic. It stays in your inventory and functions exactly as before, so you can still fire sleep and berserk darts in combat even with “Hide Gear” enabled.
