Battlefield 6 Season 4: Best Weapons for Every Class

The strongest assault rifles, SMGs, LMGs, snipers, and DMRs to run on Tsuru Reef, plus how to unlock the three new Season 4 guns.

The strongest assault rifles, SMGs, LMGs, snipers, and DMRs to run on Tsuru Reef, plus how to unlock the three new Season 4 guns.

Season 4 pushes Battlefield 6 into the Pacific Front, with the new Tsuru Reef map, the returning Wake Island, and naval combat spread across beaches, island crossings, and resort interiors. Longer sightlines and open water reward weapons that keep their recoil under control and land shots at range, so the meta now leans toward high-velocity rifles and LMGs while close-range guns stay strong inside buildings and around landing zones.

Quick answer: The EF88 is the best all-round weapon in Season 4. For a fast pick per class, run the EF88 or M16A4 (Assault), the CZ3A1 or SGX (Engineer), the DRS-IAR or KTS100 MK8 (Support), and the M2010 ESR or L115 (Recon).

The three new Season 4 weapons and how to unlock them

Season 4 adds three guns, and all of them unlock through the Battle Pass. You do not need the premium pass to earn them, and each one sits at a specific tier on its own path. If you miss the window, they roll into the standard weapon assignments the way past-season additions have.

WeaponTypeBattle Pass unlockRole
EF88Assault RifleTier 11 (Benthic Tomb Path)Accurate bullpup with controllable recoil and strong medium-to-long range
BROD 3CarbineTier 11 (Night Parade Path)Fast-firing, close-quarters carbine that handles like an SMG
VSSMMarksman Rifle (DMR)Tier 5 (Recruit Path)Suppressed DMR with subsonic ammo and an optional full-auto toggle

The EF88 is the standout of the trio. Its low recoil and reliable damage over medium and long range fit Tsuru Reef’s open approaches, and an extended barrel tightens it into a laser-accurate rifle. Prioritize it first, since it delivers more general value than the specialized BROD 3 and VSSM. The BROD 3 shines only inside tight interiors and falls off fast past medium range. The VSSM is worth running semi-auto with a scope for its high per-shot damage and minimap stealth, but its full-auto mode drops bullet velocity sharply, so treat that setting as a close-range backup.

Best Assault rifles and carbines

The Assault class leans on assault rifles and carbines thanks to its reduced movement penalty while firing. The EF88 takes the top slot for its blend of smooth recoil and range, but the established rifles remain excellent. The M16A4 entered the season as the most-deployed weapon in the game, and its predictable recoil plus full-auto and burst-fire options let it cover close, medium, and longer fights. The M433 is a strong reliable pick you can use right away, with a high rate of fire that clears enemies quickly across most ranges, which makes it the easiest starting rifle.

The TR-7 stays deadly inside roughly 20 meters with a fast time-to-kill, good mobility, and a high rate of fire, though its recoil makes it harder to control at distance. For carbines, the M4A1 remains the best all-round option for aggressive objective play, keeping the range flexibility and handling needed for buildings, boats, and contested flags. The SG 553R is another quick-killing close-to-medium carbine worth leveling.

WeaponClass fitBest for
EF88Assault RifleControlled medium and long-range fights on open ground
M16A4Assault RifleReliable mixed-range infantry lanes, burst for distance
M433Assault RifleBeginner-friendly, consistent across most ranges
TR-7Assault RifleFast close-range kills inside 20 meters
M4A1CarbineAggressive objective pushes, close-to-mid range
SG 553RCarbineQuick, forgiving time-to-kill at close-to-medium range

Best SMGs for the Engineer class

Engineers thrive with SMGs built for close-range, high fire-rate fights inside about 10 meters. The CZ3A1 is the strongest in the class. Its high fire rate, strong hipfire, controllable recoil, and solid mobility make it a bullet hose that forgives missed shots up close. Add an extended magazine and recoil attachments and it becomes one of the deadliest short-range guns in the game.

The SGX is the easiest to use and unlocks almost immediately. It has superb accuracy and control, holding its own at close range while staying comfortable out to 20-25 meters, which makes it a great weapon to fully level. The SCW-10 is another meta pick with almost no recoil and good range, but its 15-round base magazine punishes misses until you unlock higher-count mags. The KV9 is a viable alternative with an extremely fast time-to-kill in close quarters, though its low magazine capacity demands careful aim.

Best LMGs for the Support class

Support benefits from the LMG archetype, which trades mobility for range and sustained high-damage fire. Quality varies widely across the class, so a few standouts carry it. The DRS-IAR is the best of the group, pairing a fast time-to-kill with solid range, near-nonexistent recoil, and strong accuracy. Increasing its magazine from 30 to 60 rounds turns it into a gun that can cut down an entire squad. It handles almost like an assault rifle, so it stays useful at more than close range.

For a more traditional LMG, the KTS100 MK8 and the M123K both bring large magazines and good accuracy for suppressing enemies or locking down a lane. The KTS100 MK8 in particular has one of the higher projectile velocities among automatic weapons, which suits defending beaches, docks, and open approach routes on Tsuru Reef. The RPK-74M is another dependable long-range pick for controlling wide-open maps.

Best snipers and DMRs for the Recon class

Recon is built around long-range engagements with sniper rifles and DMRs, both of which pick off priority targets across Tsuru Reef’s cliffs, docks, and water crossings. The M2010 ESR is the best all-round sniper thanks to its high projectile velocity and stopping power, dropping distant targets with little bullet-drop compensation. The L115 is the specialist for pure range, a bolt-action rifle that accurately hits enemies 150 to 200-plus meters away and one-shots on a headshot.

If you prefer to stay mobile, the Mini-Scout embraces quick-scoping with great mobility, fast aim-down-sight speed, strong damage, and easy recoil, which suits a twitchier sniping style. For DMRs, the SVDM is one of the most consistent options, with a steady fire rate, high damage, and excellent accuracy. The VSSM is unremarkable until you unlock its full-auto attachment, which transforms it into a fast-killing weapon well worth trying.

WeaponTypeBest for
M2010 ESRSniper RifleConsistent long-range control and mobile Recon play
L115Sniper RifleExtreme range, 150-200m+ bolt-action shots
Mini-ScoutSniper RifleQuick-scoping and aggressive, on-the-move sniping
SVDMDMRReliable mid-to-long range with fast fire rate
VSSMDMRStealth and fast kills once the full-auto toggle is unlocked

No single weapon covers every situation on Tsuru Reef, so match your loadout to the terrain. Take the EF88, M16A4, or a strong LMG onto open island approaches and beaches, and switch to the M4A1, SGX, or another close-range gun for resort interiors and boat landings. Water also changes fights, since projectiles lose damage underwater and stop dealing damage after enough travel, and fully submerged players drop off the minimap. Rather than dumping a magazine at a diving opponent, track where they will surface and engage once normal damage returns.
