Aventurine • Waveflair is the 5-star Quantum DPS on the Path of Elation added in version 4.5. His damage runs on Fervor, a stack he builds whenever allies attack, so his best teams are the ones that keep the whole party swinging. Get the right partners around him and he becomes one of the strongest hitters the Elation class has.
Quick answer: Run him one of two ways — an Elation hypercarry team built around Yao Guang, or a follow-up attack team with Ashveil and Mortenax Blade. Both need a partner who attacks often to fuel Fervor.
How Fervor decides his team building
Fervor is the core of the kit. Every time an ally acts, Aventurine gains a point, up to a cap of 30. When Fervor reaches 10, he immediately fires an Elation Skill, and his next Elation Skill becomes an enhanced version that consumes all his Fervor for extra damage. More attacks means more Fervor, which means more enhanced Elation Skills.
That single rule points to two playstyles. In an Elation team he shares buffs with other Elation units and gains bonus Elation from his passive. In a non-Elation team he leans on units that attack constantly, most often follow-up attackers, to keep the Fervor engine spinning. Either works, so your roster decides which one you build.

These are the partners that push his damage the hardest. Yao Guang is the standout and the closest thing he has to a best-in-slot support.

Yao Guang provides Elation%, All-Type RES PEN, and Vulnerability, and her Aha Instants hand Aventurine more enhanced Elation Skills, which raises the frequency of his main damage source. Tribbie stacks RES PEN and Vulnerability while attacking often herself, so she doubles as a Fervor battery in both team types. Ashveil and Mortenax Blade are pure attack-frequency engines with useful debuffs, though the synergy is one-sided — they enable him without getting much back.
Elation hypercarry teams
This is the setup most players will default to. Yao Guang anchors it, and the remaining slots buff Aventurine’s Crit DMG, RES PEN, and survivability. Two strong versions:
- Aventurine • Waveflair + Yao Guang + Tribbie + Huohuo — the strongest all-round hypercarry. Tribbie doubles the RES PEN and adds her own attacks, Huohuo covers healing, ATK, and Energy.
- Aventurine • Waveflair + Yao Guang + Elation Trailblazer + Huohuo — a full Elation core. The Elation Trailblazer grants Aventurine Crit DMG and triggers a free Elation Skill.
You can swap Huohuo for Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae if you want shields and an extra ATK buff instead of raw healing.
Follow-up attack teams
Because Aventurine gains Fervor from every ally hit, a lineup packed with follow-up attackers keeps his enhanced Elation Skills coming. Ashveil and Mortenax Blade fit perfectly, and they carry the third and fourth slots regardless of who joins them.
- Aventurine • Waveflair + Ashveil + Mortenax Blade + Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae — Ashveil adds Crit DMG and DEF Shred, Blade piles on debuffs and attacks, and Permansor Terrae shields the team.
- Aventurine • Waveflair + Tribbie + Ashveil + Mortenax Blade — trades the sustain slot for Tribbie’s amp and extra attacks.
In a sustained follow-up team, an E0 Tribbie often out-produces Ashveil or Blade, so don’t feel locked into running both if you have Tribbie available.
Free-to-play and beginner options
Aventurine still functions well without a deep roster, as long as his partners attack often. The Elation Trailblazer is a free, reliable support, and the Remembrance Trailblazer advances him forward while attacking frequently for Fervor.

- F2P follow-up: Aventurine • Waveflair + Ashveil + Remembrance (Ice) Trailblazer + Huohuo.
- Beginner: Aventurine • Waveflair + Remembrance (Ice) Trailblazer + Asta + Natasha.
Useful swaps include Gallagher as a healing-and-cleanse sustain, Asta for extra ATK and SPD, and Moze as a follow-up flex if you lack Ashveil. Robin • Summeretto also fits the flex slot, advancing Aventurine and restoring his Energy while her birds keep attacking.
