Pets are the second biggest lever on your income in Build A Ring Farm, right behind the seeds you plant. Each equipped pet adds a flat earnings multiplier and runs its own ability on a timer, from upgrading mutations to fully growing random crops. Picking the right ones decides how fast your farm scales.
Build A Ring Farm pets tier list (S to D)
Pets are ranked by their earnings multiplier, ability strength, and how reliably that ability fires. Mutation-upgrade pets sit at the top because mutations are the main driver of late-game crop value. Growth and support pets follow, with simple passive-boost pets at the bottom.
S Tier pets
These are the endgame targets. Prioritize them above everything else once you can afford the eggs.

How to get pets in Build A Ring Farm
Pets come from the Eggs shop on the right side of the map. You buy an egg, then hatch it for a random pet from that egg's pool. Higher-rarity eggs cost more and pull from stronger pet pools, so a top pet like T-Rex or Kitsune still depends on luck even after you can afford the priciest egg.
Step 1: Head to the Eggs shop and open the egg menu. A basic Common Egg starts around $25 million in Cash, and each higher tier costs progressively more.
Step 2: Buy an egg and place it in an open Egg Slot to start hatching. You can purchase extra Egg Slots so multiple eggs hatch at the same time.
Step 3: Equip the hatched pet. Watch its earnings multiplier apply to your income and its ability trigger on its timer to confirm it's active.

How to prioritize pets as you progress
Only a limited number of pets can be active at once, so build your roster around what your farm needs at each stage. Early on, growth-speed and yield pets like Crocodile, Polar Bear, or Elephant push more crops through faster cycles. Capybara's Seed Luck boost also helps you roll better seeds before your luck upgrades kick in.
As crop values climb, mutation upgraders take over as the highest-value slots. Kitsune and Hydra reliably raise mutation tiers on your best crops, and T-Rex's guaranteed upgrade combined with its enormous multiplier makes it the clear endgame anchor. Velociraptor pairs well with any of them because its repeated Time Skips shorten every grow timer on the farm.
Keep cycling out lower-tier pets whenever you hatch something stronger. Two or three high-multiplier pets paired with one mutation upgrader is enough to carry you from mid-game into the billions, and swapping in T-Rex once you finally pull it locks in the strongest setup the game offers.
