The Colosseum holds three island secrets, and clearing all three is what pushes the island to three stars and adds it to the teleport network in Middle Town. Two of them are straightforward fights and puzzles. The third depends on a timed crowd event, and that is where most players stall out.
Quick answer: Beat the Emperor’s three enemy waves, hit each of the four statues with the weapon type it is holding, then win crowd favor during the Colosseum crowd event and hit every dart.

Gear and setup you need before starting the Colosseum secrets
There is no level requirement on the island, but one of the puzzles checks your loadout rather than your stats. Bring one of each damage type or the statues simply will not respond.
- A sword, a Blox Fruit, a fighting style, and a gun — all four are required for the statue puzzle.
- A friend or a second account, which makes the wave fight easier and the arena event far simpler.
- PvP switched on, with Passive mode turned off, for the crowd event.
- A wide AoE attack, useful for sweeping the arena walls if you take the dartboard route.
Some island secrets only allow one player per spawn, so if something looks already finished when you arrive, hop to another server and check again.

| Secret | NPC | Task |
|---|---|---|
| Gladiatorial Combat | Emperor, inside the arena | Clear three enemy waves |
| Previous Champions | Quest Giver, outside | Match four statues to weapons |
| Crowded Colosseum | Quest Giver, outside | Win the crowd, hit the darts |
None of the three are hidden behind exploration. Every one of them begins with a conversation, either with the Emperor inside the Colosseum or the Quest Giver standing near the entrance.

Gladiatorial Combat: clear the three enemy waves

Previous Champions: the correct statue order
Step back outside and talk to the Quest Giver, then pick the Rumor dialogue option. Four statues stand along the path around the building, and each one is holding a weapon. You have to strike every statue with the matching damage type — a sword statue takes a sword hit, and nothing else registers.

Starting from the statue directly behind the Quest Giver and working forward, the sequence is:
- First statue (behind the Quest Giver) — hit it with your sword.
- Second statue (further along the path) — hit it with a Blox Fruit move.
- Third statue (directly across from the second) — hit it with a fighting style.
- Fourth statue — shoot it with a gun.
A correct hit changes the statue’s pose, which is your confirmation before moving on. After the fourth one lands, a short cutscene plays. Return to the Quest Giver afterwards to claim the reward.

If a statue refuses to move no matter what you hit it with, another player has likely already finished the puzzle on that server. Server hop until you find untouched statues.
Crowded Colosseum: how to trigger the crowd event
The last secret is gated behind a server-wide message. Turn PvP on and disable Passive, then watch your chat for this line:
The Colosseum is filling its seats—the audience is ready for entertainment!
Nothing in the arena will respond until that notification is live. It shows up somewhere between 2 and 40 minutes after the Magnet event ends, so server hopping is often faster than waiting it out. Once the message fires, you have two ways to finish the secret.
Option 1: Find the hidden dartboard solo
Option 2: Use the Friendly 1v1 pads with a partner

Should the crowd disappear during the battle, either the event timer has expired or you killed your partner by mistake. In both cases, wait for the chat notification to return, then try again.
How to confirm all three Colosseum secrets are complete
Each secret pays out bonus levels the moment you turn it in, and those levels also raise your cap, which is the whole reason island secrets exist in the First Sea. Open the world map and check the Colosseum entry — three filled stars means the island is done.
The other confirmation is practical. Clearing all three secrets on an island unlocks it as a teleport destination, and that teleporter sits inside the central building in Middle Town. If the Colosseum shows up there, you are finished.
One reward quirk is worth knowing. The quest NPC occasionally hands over only part of the levels it owes you. Keep talking to it until the payout stops, and do not leave the server before you have collected everything, because the remainder cannot be claimed later.
