Lower Skylands hides three separate secrets in Blox Fruits Update 30, and clearing all of them flips the island to a full three-star rating on the world map. Two of the three are gated behind random events, so the order you tackle them in matters more than the difficulty of any single one.
Quick answer: Grab a Lightning Bolt from a blinking storm cloud and hand it to the Mad Scientist at sea level, raid the Sky Castle vault using the code on the Crumpled Letter, and chase the golden cloud until it drops the chained chest. Each turn-in awards one star, and the third one triggers the “LOWER SKYLANDS COMPLETED” banner.
Lower Skylands secrets: what each one needs before you can start
Open the world map and set your route to Lower Sky Island first. Only one of the three secrets can be started on demand; the other two wait on spawns you cannot force, so it is worth knowing which is which before you park yourself on the island.

| Secret | What it waits on | Turn-in |
|---|---|---|
| Lightning Bolt delivery | A dark storm cloud that blinks black or blue above the island | Mad Scientist, at sea level |
| Angel Guard’s Treasure (Sky Castle vault) | The castle raid event, which is random | Angel Guard |
| Golden cloud chest | A chat announcement that the golden cloud has spawned | Angel Guard |
Do the Lightning Bolt delivery first
This is the one secret you can usually start the moment you land, which makes it the sensible opener while you wait for the castle raid or the golden cloud to appear. It is a fetch job with no fight attached.

Note: if you already have the bolt in your inventory when you first meet him, the handover can happen immediately, so there is no need to farm a second cloud.
Sky Castle vault: break the roof door and read the code
The Angel Guard on Lower Skylands kicks this one off. His pitch is that bandits came out of the clouds, took the Skylands hoard, and now sit on it inside the castle, and that he is not allowed to leave his post. Talking to him starts the quest, but the castle only becomes enterable once the raid event is live, and that timing is random.

Tip: the code is randomized per run. Copying 8405 or any number you saw someone else use will not open the keypad, so read the letter every time.
Golden cloud chase and the chained chest
The last secret is the one most likely to keep you waiting. A golden cloud spawns around the island on its own schedule, and the chat log announces it when it does, so keep an eye on the feed instead of circling the island blind.

How to confirm all three stars registered
When the last of the three turn-ins goes through, a “LOWER SKYLANDS COMPLETED” message appears on screen. Open the world map afterwards and the island’s icon should read three out of three stars. Those stars count toward the 40 total across Sea 1 that unlock the teleporter in Middle Town, so none of them are wasted effort.
If a secret refuses to progress, the cause is almost always timing rather than a missed step. The castle vault stays locked until the raid event has actually spawned the invaders inside, the golden cloud cannot be found before chat announces it, and the keypad rejects any code other than the one printed on the letter in your current run.
Realistically, the fastest route is to sit on Lower Skylands, clear the Lightning Bolt handoff straight away, and treat the castle raid and the golden cloud as opportunities that come to you. Neither fight is demanding once it starts, and the stars are permanent, so a single visit with a bit of patience is usually enough to finish the island for good.
