Blox Fruits Update 30 Teaser: Sea 1 Rework and Magnet Fruit

What the teaser confirms about the rebuilt First Sea, island minigames, and the Magnet Fruit’s mecha form, plus release timing.

Blox Fruits Update 30 is the biggest structural change the game has attempted in years, and the reveal cycle is now fully underway. Gamer Robot published the “UPDATE 30 TEASER | Blox Fruits” video on August 23, 2026, and that teaser closes with a trailer release date of August 29, 2026. The two headline items are a rebuilt Sea 1 and a new Magnet-type Blox Fruit that summons a giant mecha suit.

Quick answer: Treat the rebuilt First Sea and the Magnet Fruit as confirmed, treat August 29, 2026 as the trailer date only, and treat everything else — fruit reworks, Magnet’s price and moveset, a Fourth Sea — as unconfirmed until Gamer Robot publishes patch notes or the update goes live.

Blox Fruits Update 30 release date: what is dated and what is not

There is no developer-published in-game release date for Update 30. The trailer date shown on screen is a video date, not a launch date, and the same is true of the teaser that preceded it. Community countdowns built on either one are guesses.

What does exist is a clear reveal trail running back through the summer Blox Bulletins.

Sea 1 rework: rebuilt islands, new UI, and new weapons

The Sea 1 rework is the part of Update 30 that will touch the most players, because it is where every new account learns quests, bosses, and fruit progression. The teaser opens with an animated bit about stale grinding and repetitive gacha before a deity-like figure rebuilds the world map, which is a fairly direct statement of intent about early-game pacing.

Visually, islands have been redesigned rather than reskinned, with denser layouts, new NPCs, and a refreshed interface layer over the top. Snow features and cannon mechanics both show up in the footage, so environments are doing more than sitting there as backdrops.

Weapon vendors are part of the refresh too. The teaser shows a Sword Dealer of the West selling gear including a Dual Katana and an Iron Mace, the latter listed with Mace Smash and Killer Combo as its moves and a 25,000 purchase confirmation. Prices and stock behavior shown in a teaser are not final, so do not budget around them yet.

Quest flow is also being reorganized around the new island layouts, with markers sitting directly above NPCs rather than being buried in menus.

Note: existing First Sea leveling routes and island guides will need revising once this goes live. Anything built around the current map order should be treated as temporary.

Island minigames and how completion is tracked

Update 30 adds optional island-specific minigames that sit alongside normal quests instead of replacing them. Two are shown outright. One is a cannon defense activity tied to an NPC named Parlus, and the other is a snowball-rolling game in Frozen Village.

You will know a minigame has registered because the game throws up a full-screen completion banner naming the island, such as “FROZEN VILLAGE COMPLETED”. That screen is the confirmation, not the minigame simply ending. Which islands have activities, and whether completion feeds a wider progression track, are still open questions until the update is playable.

Magnet Fruit: the mecha form and VFX sneak peeks

The Magnet Fruit is the new-fruit story attached to this rollout, and the teaser saves it for last. The reveal clip ends with a giant mecha robot assembling and towering over the scene, which lines up with the Bulletin #021 description of a Magnet user dragging nearby metal together into a war machine. The design has drawn immediate comparisons to a fan-made Eustass Kidd mecha suit concept that circulated on Reddit.

Developer ShafiDev has been posting work-in-progress effects for the fruit on X across several rounds of sneak peeks, including purple lightning and a large blue dome explosion, with one post labelled as the last sneak for the fruit. Those clips are effects tests, so animation timing and hit behavior can still change.

What has not been published matters just as much. There is no confirmed rarity, no Beli or Robux price, no mastery requirement, and no final Z/X/C/V/F kit. Any trade value quoted for Magnet right now is speculation, and new fruits are routinely overpriced in their first days.

The distinction worth holding onto is that a new fruit reveal is not evidence of an existing fruit being reworked. Venom, Dark, and Quake have been bundled into Update 30 predictions for months, but none of them appear in the teaser as reworked kits.

What to hold before Update 30 goes live

Keeping resources flexible is the low-risk position here. Hang on to Beli, fragments, and any trade inventory you were planning to move, because Magnet’s real cost and availability will only be measurable once the fruit exists in the game. Selling into pre-release hype, or paying into it, means pricing something whose rarity is not yet known.

The order of reliability is straightforward. Teaser footage first, then the trailer, then official patch notes and the live game, with each one overriding the last. Until that final step, the only two things about Update 30 you can plan around are a rebuilt Sea 1 and a Magnet Fruit that turns into a mecha.
