Loveless the Hacker arrived in Borderlands 4 on September 10th, 2026 alongside Version 1.10 and Story Pack 2: FL4K and the Last Resort, and she came with a full set of Legendary Class Mods already scattered across the game’s boss pool. Every one of them rewires a different part of her kit, from her Wyrm companion to her Contagion spread to her melee-and-RAM loop. Knowing which boss holds which mod saves a lot of aimless farming.
Quick answer: Loveless has eleven Legendary Class Mods, each tied to a specific boss or endgame activity. The class mod slot unlocks at level 20, and boosted skills show up highlighted in your skill tree.
How Loveless class mods work
Class mods do two jobs at once. They hand out bonus skill points, and they add a unique special effect that only exists on that mod. A Legendary class mod carries 7 skill points spread across three of four listed skills, plus one fixed passive stat and one random one.

The skill points are the part that reshapes builds. They push past the normal cap on a skill, so a 5/5 node can reach 10 and a 1/1 capstone can sit at 2. They also work on skills you never invested in, which means a Plague Star mod can quietly hand you a VPN skill without spending a single point of your own.
Class mods drop at every rarity, but only the Legendary versions carry the named special effects listed below. Mods at level 25 and above can also roll with Firmware.
The word in front of the mod name is a random prefix tied to the passive stats, not a separate item. A Collecting Memory Hoarder and a Pilfering Memory Hoarder are the same class mod with different rolls.

| Programmer | Story Pack 2: FL4K and the Last Resort | Executable uptime |
Most of the base-game mods also sit in the world-wide class mod pool, so they can appear outside their named boss. The named boss is still the reliable target because the mod is weighted into that specific loot table. Mods tied to Story Pack content only drop from that content, and using any of them requires owning Loveless, who is sold separately or bundled into the Super Deluxe Edition and Vault Hunter Pack on the official Borderlands 4 page.

A Legendary roll grants points to three of the four skills listed, so two copies of the same mod can support different builds depending on which three came up.
Wyrm mods: Devourer, Martyr, and Puppetmaster
These three lean on the Malignant Construct side of Loveless and her Symbiosis stacks. Two of them turn Wyrm into a damage source, and one turns it into a damage sponge.
Devourer
When Wyrm deals damage, it gets a 5% chance to Devour an enemy and delete 30% of that enemy’s total health. Badasses take 10% instead, and bosses take 1%. The trigger chance climbs by 1% for every stack of Symbiosis, so a build that sits on high stacks turns this from an occasional bonus into a steady source of health-percentage damage during add-heavy fights.
Martyr
Martyr is the defensive pick. Wyrm gains maximum health regeneration and starts absorbing 5% of the damage Loveless takes on her behalf, with that share rising by 1% per Symbiosis stack. It boosts IDDQD along with Third Party and Pure Fusion, which fits a build that wants to stand in the open rather than rotate through stealth.
Puppetmaster
Puppetmaster bridges the clone and companion halves of her kit. Loveless receives Symbiosis benefits while a clone is out, and she gains a stack of Symbiosis every three seconds on top of that. It also functions as a kill skill that restores one second of action skill cooldown per kill, which keeps clones rolling in longer fights. It only drops from Takedown at Hadron Abyss.
Contagion mods: Virophile, Plague Engineer, and Boomer
The Plague Star tree runs on status effects, and these three mods each attack that loop from a different angle. One makes deaths explosive, one makes effects travel, and one changes what element the effects deal.
Virophile
Enemies that die while suffering from Contagion detonate for Corrosive Ordnance damage. The size of that blast scales with how many stacks of Contagion the enemy was carrying at the moment it died, so the payoff comes from stacking first and killing second rather than rushing the finish.
Plague Engineer
Any status effect Loveless applies has a 10% chance to jump to a nearby enemy, and Contagion spreads at double that rate. The clever part is the fallback. With no enemy nearby to infect, the effect instead deals 50% of its damage immediately, which means the mod still contributes during single-target boss phases.
Boomer
Boomer converts contaminant damage to match the element of whatever grenade Loveless has equipped, and Contagion starts dealing Ordnance damage on top of its existing types. Swapping grenades is effectively a damage-type swap, which is useful against enemies with specific elemental weaknesses.
Melee and RAM mods: Memory Hoarder and Trackstar
Memory Hoarder is the heaviest multiplier in the set. Every Empowered Melee Attack grants a stack of Overclock, and each stack makes all RAM passives behave as though Loveless has 100% more RAM than she actually does. It stacks three times and lasts 12 seconds, so a build that can keep punching keeps its RAM passives running at several times their listed value. That is why it works as a boss-killing mod against targets like Thol the Invincible rather than only as an add-clearing tool.
Trackstar covers the movement half of the same fantasy. Footwork stacks build 100% faster, movement speed converts into extra melee damage, and there is a 25% chance that consuming Footwork only spends half the stacks. Combined, it keeps a fast-moving melee build near its ceiling instead of resetting every time the stacks cash out.

Sniper and ability mods: Montage Maker, Functional Human, and Programmer
Montage Maker
Killing an enemy with a sniper rifle gives a 25% chance to drop Loveless into Stealth for two seconds, and a critical hit kill with a sniper always triggers it. While stealthed she deals +50% damage. The effect has an eight second internal cooldown, so it rewards deliberate shots over spray. It boosts Refactored Damage Formula, notarget, Methodical, and Infinite Murder Hack, making it the clearest fit for a VPN sniper build.

Functional Human
Each time Loveless uses a Function she gains a stack of Functional worth 10% increased damage dealt. It caps at ten stacks, which is a 100% damage increase, but every stack disappears the moment her action skill ends. The mod rewards builds that cycle Functions constantly and time the big hits before the action skill expires.
Programmer
Programmer handles the other half of that rhythm. Using an Executable grants 25% increased fire rate for 15 seconds, and landing damage with Empowered Melee Attacks cuts the Executable cooldown by 25%. Punch, then execute, then shoot faster. It is exclusive to Story Pack 2: FL4K and the Last Resort.
Farming Loveless class mods
The drops split into four groups, and each group has a different rhythm to it.
- Named world bosses hold four mods: Callis, Vile Lictor, Idolator Sol, and Bloomreaper the Invincible.
- The Primordial Vault Guardians hold three: Origo, Radix, and Inceptus.
- Endgame activities hold three: Lair of the Subjugator, Takedown at Hadron Abyss, and Nightmare Rifts.
- Programmer comes only from Story Pack 2 content.
Chests in the Lair of the Subjugator, The Bloom, and Research Center B-0451 share a loot table with the bosses in those areas, so a full run gives you more than one roll at the mod you want.
Checking that a class mod is working
Equip the mod, then open the skill tree. Any skill the mod is boosting is marked with a blue icon, and the skill’s own description spells out how many bonus points are coming from the class mod. A skill sitting at 5/5 that now reads higher confirms the points landed.
If the skill tree shows no blue icons, check your level first. The class mod slot does not exist until level 20, and the mod cannot apply anything until it is actually equipped in that slot rather than sitting in your backpack.
Once you have two or three of these in your bank, the interesting part is that they are not strict upgrades over one another. Memory Hoarder and Montage Maker want completely different weapons in your hands, and Martyr trades damage for the ability to stop dying. Keep the ones that match the tree you actually invested in, and respec around the mod rather than the other way around.
