Borderlands 4: How to Find Signal Scramblers in Clear Comms

The exact route through Vinechoked Canopy, from the broken bridge zipline to the first scrambler inside the facility.

Clear Comms drops you into Vinechoked Canopy on Providence Island with a vague marker and a broken bridge in the way. The Find Signal Scramblers objective is less a puzzle than a route problem, and most players stall at the same two spots: the gap that needs a zipline, and the glowing wall that hides the facility entrance.

Quick answer: Ride your vehicle to the broken bridge in Vinechoked Canopy, shoot the yellow target on the far tower to drop the zipline, destroy the polyclusters blocking the zipline console, cross, clear the Tediore courtyard, then shoot down the glowing polycluster wall inside to reach the first signal scrambler hanging from the ceiling.

Clear Comms mission location and objective order

Clear Comms is a DLC main mission, and everything for the scrambler hunt happens inside one region. Track it from the map screen so the orange diamond waypoints stay visible while you drive.

DetailValue
Mission typeDLC main mission
RegionVinechoked Canopy, Providence Island
Objective chainReach the zipline controls → Kill Tediore forces → Find Signal Scramblers → Disable Signal Scrambler → Destroy Capacitors
Enemy factionTediore (Bladeframes, gliders, TedMeds, TedMechs)

Cross the broken bridge with the zipline

Follow the jungle path on a hover vehicle until the road ends at a collapsed bridge. The waypoint sits on the other side of the gap, so there is no driving route forward. Get out here.
Look across to the tower on the opposite side and shoot the yellow target mounted on it. That releases the zipline and connects both sides of the gap.
Climb up to the control booth on your side. Polyclusters cover the console, and they regenerate, so shoot them down in quick succession rather than pausing between shots.

With the console clear, activate it and ride the zipline across. You land in the approach to an open courtyard, which is where the fighting starts.

Clear the Tediore courtyard

The courtyard is a multi-wave fight, not a single group. Tediore forces arrive in mixed sets, including Bladeframes on the ground, gliders in the air, and TedMed support units that keep the rest alive longer than they should. The objective will not advance to the scrambler search until the last wave is down.

Heavier units show up as the waves escalate, and a Badass TedMech is the one worth using cover for. Keep moving between the courtyard’s raised edges so the gliders cannot pin you in the open.

Ammo is the real constraint here. Reload during the gaps between waves rather than mid-fight, and open the supply containers scattered around the courtyard with the interact prompt before you head indoors.

Optional challenges during the fight

Several optional challenges run alongside the courtyard encounter. None of them block progress, but they are easiest to knock out while the waves are still spawning.

ChallengeRequirement
Not So FastKill Tediore frames before they convert
DisposableKill Tediore frames
Clear the SkiesKill Tediore gliders
Get GoopedKill enemies with Corrosive Damage

Tip: If you want Not So Fast, focus the frames the moment they appear. Once they convert, the window is gone for that spawn.

Get inside and find the first signal scrambler

With the courtyard clear, follow the waypoint indoors. The path leads into the facility that houses the scramblers.
A glowing polycluster wall blocks the entrance. It is destructible with regular gunfire, so empty a magazine into it until it breaks apart.
Step through and look up. The first signal scrambler is suspended from the ceiling inside the facility, and reaching it flips the objective over to Disable Signal Scrambler, followed by Destroy Capacitors.

Why the objective does not advance

There are only a few things that hold this sequence up, and each has an obvious tell on screen.

SymptomCause and fix
No zipline appears at the bridgeThe yellow target on the far tower has not been shot. Scope in and hit it before climbing.
Zipline console will not activatePolyclusters are still covering it. They regenerate, so destroy them in one continuous burst.
Waypoint stays in the courtyardA wave is still alive, often a glider circling above. Clear the air units.
Cannot enter the facilityThe glowing polycluster wall is intact. Shoot it down rather than looking for another door.

Once the objective text changes to Disable Signal Scrambler, you have the first one, and the rest of Clear Comms follows the same pattern of shooting capacitors and pushing deeper into the facility. The bridge and the polycluster wall are the only two places where the route genuinely hides itself.
