Build A Soccer Squad puts you in the manager’s chair. Instead of kicking a ball, you fill a 4-3-3 board with cards pulled from more than 1,000 footballers spanning 1970 to today, and the game pays out coins based on how high your final overall rating climbs. The fastest way to climb is to understand exactly how rolls, chemistry, and the shop feed into that number.
Quick answer: Put every card in its natural position for the chemistry bonus, save Rerolls and Refreshes for slots where you need a specific rating, and finish one full squad before starting another so you collect the completion coins.

How rolling, Rerolls, and Refreshes work
Each roll randomly generates a national team from a specific year, shown by a country flag and a date on the ROLL button. You then get a handful of cards from that squad and can place only one before moving on. Every position you fill locks in that choice, so the order you build in matters.
Two tools let you influence the outcome instead of accepting a bad pull. A Refresh pulls new players from the same team and year, which is useful when the country is strong but the four cards shown miss the position you need. A Reroll replaces the team entirely with a different country and year. Both are limited, and the on-screen counter shows how many you have left.
Because these are finite, spend them where they change your rating the most. Burning a Reroll to upgrade an 84-rated card by one point is rarely worth it. Saving it for a weak goalkeeper or an empty attacking slot usually is.

Add to Google Preferences →Chemistry: match natural positions for a bonus
Chemistry is the mechanic new players overlook most. Whenever possible, drop each card into the position printed on it. A center midfielder belongs in a CM slot, a left back in LB, and so on. Matching positions raises your team’s chemistry, and that bonus is added on top of the raw ratings when the final overall is calculated.
The trap is chasing a high number alone. A 94-rated striker forced into a wing slot can drag your effectiveness down more than a correctly placed 88 would. If you place a card in the wrong slot, you can drag it onto another to swap the two, so it is worth rearranging before you finish to squeeze out extra chemistry.
| Formation slots (4-3-3) | What to place there |
|---|---|
| LW, ST, RW | Natural forwards and wingers |
| LM, CM, RM | Midfielders in matching side/center roles |
| LB, CB, CB, RB | Defenders in their exact position |
| GK | A dedicated goalkeeper card only |

Spot Special and Prime cards
Some pulls carry a rainbow border. These are Special cards and they are rare, so grab one the moment it appears in a slot you can use. Legendary names such as Messi, Ronaldo, Klose, and Neuer can surface in your rolls, and a single top-rated card can lift an entire squad’s average.
Above the standard pool sit Prime players rated 100 OVR and higher. These are not found through normal rolls. They rotate through the hourly shop, so checking that shop on a regular schedule is the reliable way to add them.
Spend coins on team unlocks, not every pack
Coins are earned from your squad rating, and the higher the overall, the larger the payout. The Coin Shop lets you unlock specific 2026 teams outright, which is a dependable way to fill known gaps instead of gambling on rolls. Buying every pack the moment you can afford it leaves you short when a lineup-improving player shows up.
| Coin Shop unlock | Card | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| 2026 Canada | DAVIES (90 LB) | $5,000 |
| 2026 Morocco | HAKIMI (92 RB) | $5,000 |
| 2026 Japan | MITOMA (90 LW) | $5,000 |
| 2026 Belgium | DE BRUYNE (91 CM) | $5,000 |
The Robux shop separately sells convenience bundles such as extra Rerolls, extra Refreshes, coin packs, and a 2x Rewards pass that doubles both quest payouts and the coins from completing teams and winning Cup games.
Unlock captains by completing full squads
Captains are the long-term goal behind the collection. The Rewards menu tracks progression grids for each nation, and completing a full 2026 squad unlocks that country’s 99 OVR captain. Premium Captains work the same way for select 2002 teams, giving you a second set of targets to chase.
| Reward | How to unlock |
|---|---|
| 99 OVR national captains | Complete that nation’s full 2026 squad |
| Premium Captains | Complete select teams from 2002 |
| Prime players (100+ OVR) | Buy from the hourly shop |
| Cup stand-out cards (105+ OVR) | Win 5 Cups, then unlock in Cup Mode |

Cup Mode requirements
Cup Mode is a tournament where your best team competes for the trophy, and it comes with custom team kits. To enter a Cup, your squad must be rated 93 OVR or higher, so it doubles as a benchmark for how far your collection has come. Win five Cups, and you can unlock Cup stand-out cards rated 105 OVR and above.
Note: Cup Players were nerfed in a recent update, but saved Best Teams keep their old overall rating, so a lineup you locked in earlier will not lose points retroactively.
Free progress through quests and daily rewards
You do not need to spend Robux to keep moving forward. Quests reward play-time milestones with coins, Rerolls, and Refreshes, so simply staying in a session pays off. Log in for your daily rewards every time, and pace your spending rather than emptying your coin balance on the first pack you see.
- Claim daily rewards on every login.
- Finish one squad fully before starting the next to bank the completion coins.
- Save currency for cards that upgrade your current lineup, not sidegrades.
- Check the hourly shop often for stronger cards and Prime players.

There are no codes to redeem
The game does not include a code redemption feature, and there is no Codes menu inside it. Any site claiming to list working codes is inaccurate because there is nowhere to enter them. The game is still in early beta, so a redemption system could arrive later, but there are no confirmed plans right now.
How you know a squad paid out
Once every slot is filled, the game calculates your overall and shows the results screen. When you beat your previous record, a “NEW BEST!” banner appears with the coins earned, any chemistry gained, and the count of new players added to your collection. That banner is your confirmation the run counted, and your Collection menu tracks total cards owned against the full set as you go.
Build slowly, keep positions honest, and let the coins from each completed squad fund the next unlock. Over enough runs, that steady loop is what turns a scattered board into a captain-heavy team that can enter Cups and chase the highest ratings in the game.
