Build The Great Wall Guide: Money and Upgrades (Roblox)

How coins, gym stats, upgrade costs and Fortune Wheel luck fit together in TheWall Studios' Roblox building simulator.

How coins, gym stats, upgrade costs and Fortune Wheel luck fit together in TheWall Studios’ Roblox building simulator.

Build The Great Wall is a Roblox incremental simulator from TheWall Studios. Every player in a server hauls stone to the same wall, and the game turns that labor into coins. Those coins pay for permanent upgrades, and the upgrades make each trip faster and more profitable. Once you see how the quarry, the gym, the Upgrades stand and the Fortune Wheel feed each other, the grind gets much shorter.

Quick answer: Fill your bag at the Quarry with E, then hold click on green wall slots to earn coins. Train Strength for bag space, claim the free Long Reach upgrade, and buy the 75-coin upgrades first.

How Build The Great Wall turns blocks into coins

Everything starts at the central hub, where the Fortune Wheel, Leaderboards, Gym and Upgrades stand sit in a ring. White chevron arrows on the ground point you toward the current objective. If you head the wrong way, the HUD tells you to follow the arrows.

Follow the arrows to the Quarry’s block pit and press E over and over. Each press adds stone to the sack on your back, and a new character starts with room for 25 blocks. On touch screens, tapping quickly works the same way, at +1 block per press.

When the bag is full, follow the arrows back to the wall. The active section is marked with translucent green boxes that show where blocks go.
Hold click on a glowing slot to place your blocks. The game pays coins as you build, so a bigger load means a bigger payout. When the bag is empty, the HUD shows “Out of Blocks!” and you head back to the Quarry.

When a section is filled, a “SECTION COMPLETE!” banner appears. Finishing an entire wall also adds one free spin on the Fortune Wheel. Your wall count matters beyond the spin, too, because it gates the better gym equipment and the late upgrades.

Strength and Speed: what the Gym changes

The Gym has two stats that affect every run. The bench press raises Strength, and Strength sets your bag size. The treadmill raises Walk Speed, which shortens each trip between the Quarry and the wall. Press Space to get off the bench.

Strength gains show up right away. Getting Strength to 20 in the tutorial takes the bag from 25 blocks to 28, and a little more training pushes it to 29. More blocks per trip means more coins per trip, so Strength is the stat that pays for everything else.

The free machines are only the first tier. Faster stations sit beside them, and you unlock them by finishing walls or by paying Robux.

You can also skip the first wall requirement by buying the 2x Gym item for 39 Robux. The two stats also count toward the free Terracotta Soldier skin quest, which asks for 700 blocks, 100 Speed and 100 Strength.

Build The Great Wall upgrades: costs and effects

Upgrades are bought at the pagoda-style Upgrades stand inside the yellow circle on the hub. They are permanent. Your first one is free, and the tutorial points you to Long Reach, which lets you place blocks from farther away.

Each entry lists a coin price and a Robux alternative. These are the first-level costs and the effect of the next level:

UpgradeWhat it doesNext levelCost

Golden TouchMore coins per drop3 → 5 coins100 coins / 29 Robux
Fortune LuckBlocks drop coins more often5% → 6.5%100 coins / 29 Robux

The three 75-coin upgrades are the cheapest way to speed up the loop. Swift Hands shortens time at the wall, and Quarry Strength shortens time at the pit. Master Mason gives you a chance at bonus blocks for free. The opening Day 1 login reward covers all three.

Locked upgrades and their wall requirements

  • Coin Combo: coins build up while you keep placing blocks. Unlocks after 5 walls.
  • Wide Trowel: places more blocks with each placement. Unlocks after 10 walls.
  • Lightning Hands: places even faster and stacks with Swift Hands. Unlocks after 10 walls.

Luck in Build The Great Wall: coin drops and the Fortune Wheel

Luck works in two places. At the wall, every block you place can drop bonus coins. Fortune Luck raises the odds of a drop, Golden Touch raises how many coins each drop is worth, and Master Mason adds the chance of a free extra block. Those three upgrades stack on the same action, so they get more valuable as your bag grows.

The second place is the Fortune Wheel on the hub. It has a Normal Spin and a Golden Spin, and new players get one free Normal Spin. A single spin can pay out big. The tutorial’s free spin landed +2,500 coins, which is more than the cost of every basic upgrade combined.

The wheel also has a pity counter for its Mystery Jackpot, which is guaranteed within 40 spins. The counter on the wheel screen shows how many spins are left. Free spins come from finishing walls, and paid spins come in these bundles:

Daily Streak rewards

A Rewards pop-up gives a Daily Streak reward each day you log in. It mixes coin payouts with temporary boosts, and the seventh day gives you a skin.

DayReward
Day 1+250 coins
Day 25x Gym (the next day)
Day 3+1,500 coins
Day 42x Speed
Day 5+3,000 coins
Day 610x Gym
Day 7Dragon Warrior skin

Save the gym multipliers from Day 2 and Day 6 for long training sessions. A 10x boost on the bench press adds a lot of Strength, and Strength turns straight into bag capacity.

Build The Great Wall codes for coins and spins

The game’s description on its Roblox page lists four active codes. They speed up the early upgrade purchases:

CodeReward
150KVISITS1 Golden Spin
1500LIKES5,000 coins
WORKERSFreebies
UPD42 wheel spins

To redeem one, open the Codes button in the game’s interface and enter the code exactly as written, with matching capitals. Leave out any spaces before or after it. If it works, the coins appear in your balance or the new spins show up as available on the Fortune Wheel. Codes like these can expire without warning, and an account can only claim each one once.

Put together, the loop rewards a simple order. Spend codes and early coins on the 75-coin upgrades, train Strength until your bag is clearly bigger, then work toward the first wall. Finishing it unlocks the 2x gym, adds a free wheel spin and moves you closer to Coin Combo at five walls.
