Speed is the stat that gates almost everything in Call A Pet, the Roblox tycoon by GuapoStudio. It decides how fast you cross the map, how cleanly you escape a guard after lifting an egg, and whether the far zones are even open to you. Three systems feed into it: riding a called pet, training on treadmills, and the flat multipliers you buy from the Trail Shop. Stacking all three is how you go from crawling through the Forest to outrunning guards in the Desert.
Quick answer: Ride a called pet for an instant movement boost, buy the best Trail you can afford for a flat multiplier, then train on treadmills between runs to raise your base speed. Savannah needs about 1k speed; Desert needs about 50k.
Best Trails from the Trail Shop and their multipliers
Trails are bought from the Trail Shop stall near your plot and apply a permanent speed multiplier once equipped. Only one Trail is active at a time, so the goal is to own the highest-tier Trail your cash allows. The jump from Blue to Purple is the one most players save for early, since it takes you to a triple multiplier.
| Trail | Rarity | Speed | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grey | Common | x1.5 | $100 |
| Green | Uncommon | x2 | — |
| Blue | Rare | x2.5 | $75K |
| Purple | Epic | x3 | $1.5M |
| Golden | Legendary | x3.5 | $30M |
The Golden Trail at x3.5 Speed is the best in the shop, but its $30M price means it is a mid-to-late purchase. Treat the Purple Trail as the realistic early target and upgrade to Golden once your plot income can absorb the cost.

Add to Google Preferences →Ride a pet and train treadmills to raise base speed
A Trail multiplies whatever speed you already have, so the base number matters just as much as the multiplier. You raise that base two ways. Riding a called pet gives you an immediate boost to running and jumping the moment you mount up, and it is the intended way to cross all five biomes. There is no fast-travel in the game, so a good mount is the difference between a quick crossing and a long walk.
Treadmills are the slower, permanent layer. Standing a pet on a treadmill trains speed over time, and the on-plot treadmills can be upgraded with cash to boost the gain per step. A Chicken on a treadmill generates +10 Speed while it runs. Pets gain speed from training too, not just your character, so it pays to keep treadmills busy between egg runs.

Put pets on treadmills shortly before a lengthy crossing or trip to a distant zone, then ride the pet you trained. Its treadmill-earned speed stacks with the mounted run-and-jump boost, making this the fastest documented setup.
Speed needed for each wild zone
Each wild zone posts a minimum speed on its signpost. The two confirmed thresholds are a sharp jump, so plan your Trail and treadmill progress around them rather than wandering in underpowered.
- Savannah — recommends around 1k speed
- Desert — recommends around 50k speed
- Forest is the entry zone and has no steep requirement
- Snow and Volcano sit beyond the Desert as later zones
The gap from Savannah’s 1k to Desert’s 50k is why Trail multipliers matter so much. Reaching 50k on raw treadmill training alone is slow, but a x3 or x3.5 Trail on top of a trained mount closes that gap far faster.
Use speed to steal eggs cleanly
The core loop is to take an egg from a guarded nest, bring it to your safe zone, and set it in your base to hatch. As soon as you pick one up, a guard starts pursuing you, and other players may steal it, so make a quick, well-timed escape. For a reliable getaway, call your mount just before grabbing the egg.

Bigger and rarer eggs, including the huge black eggs out in the Savannah and Desert, follow the same rules but take longer to hatch. Common eggs hatch in seconds; huge eggs run from twenty seconds up to several hours. Each friend on your server adds a 10% hatch speed boost, so playing with others clears long timers faster.

Fund your Trails with plot income and selling
Trails are expensive, so cash income is what gets you to the better multipliers. Every pet placed on your plot earns money every second, even while you are offline, and buying more slots raises how many earners you can run at once. A well-stocked plot can reach tens of millions per day, enough to buy up to the Golden Trail.

Clear out duplicates at the Sell stall, where pets are sold by weight and value for instant cash. Expanding your plot fences also raises your maximum pet capacity and your income ceiling, so reinvest early upgrades into slots before splurging on a top Trail. Redeeming the current cash codes in the Settings menu gives an extra early boost toward your first Trail.
You know your speed setup is working when the zone signpost no longer blocks you and the guard can no longer catch your mount before you reach the Safe Zone line. If you want to jump straight in, Call A Pet is available on Roblox.
