Marvel’s Wolverine Canada Walkthrough: All Collectible Locations

Every Material Crate, Whisky Bottle, and Nightmare Door across the five Canada missions, plus how to mop up anything you miss.

Every Material Crate, Whisky Bottle, and Nightmare Door across the five Canada missions, plus how to mop up anything you miss.

Canada is the first stretch of Marvel’s Wolverine where collectibles start appearing, and it is also where the game teaches you what they’re for. Material Crates feed suit crafting, which raises Logan’s maximum health. Whisky Bottles and Nightmare Doors both push your Adaptation Level, which is how you equip more passive skills. Miss them here and you’ll feel it in Madripoor.

Quick answer: Canada holds 24 of the game’s 102 collectibles — 15 Material Crates, 5 Whisky Bottles, and 4 Nightmare Doors — spread across missions 4 through 8. None of them are missable.

Canada collectible counts by mission

The chapter runs from Mission 4 to Mission 8. Telambang, the three missions before it, contains nothing to collect at all, so Homecoming is where your tracker finally starts moving.

5. The One That Got Away411
6. Raise Some Hell411
7. Strays110
8. Something Much Stronger411

Strays is the only Canada mission with no Nightmare Door, and it’s the lightest of the five overall. Each mission has its own collectible tracker in the pause menu, so you can check a chapter’s totals before moving on.

How to spot each collectible type

All three types announce themselves visually, which is why Canada is more about looking sideways than hunting blind.

  • Material Crates — surrounded by a large blue sphere visible from a distance; they supply the materials for crafting suits.
  • Whisky Bottles — marked by a blue scent line running along the ground toward them.
  • Nightmare Doors — ringed by purple vines, and all of them sit in plain sight on or near the critical path.

Turn on Settings > Visuals > Collectibles and Interact Shader to outline every pickup in a color of your choosing. Later, the Crate Finder and Whisky Finder adaptations tag them through walls from a long way off.

Nightmare Doors drop you into a timed trial. A bronze rating is enough for the door to register as completed — the top Adamantium rating is optional, and you can come back with better skills later.

Mission 4: Homecoming (Yukon facility)

Every collectible in Homecoming lands in your lap through story progress. You physically cannot leave the Yukon facility without all four, so treat this mission as a tutorial for the three pickup types rather than a search.

Head to Logan’s room and you’ll be told your belongings have been moved into storage. Follow the blue scent trail to the next objective marker in the supply closet to pick up Uncanny Whisky, the game’s first Whisky Bottle.
Go to sleep. Essex appears as a psychic projection and walks you down the hallway to the study, where the conversation ends with a glowing purple rift.

Step into the rift to trigger The Enemy of My Enemy, which counts as Nightmare Door #1. You fight Reavers in a snowy forest and come out with AP and a Strand, plus your first adaptations.

Walter asks for supply crates for a new suit. Material Crate #1 sits behind him in the lab’s storage room. Hand it over, then follow the scent upstairs into Victor’s room — he’s asleep — for Material Crate #2.
Return the second crate to Walter and craft the yellow-and-blue Battle Reborn suit. Finishing the crafting tutorial pops the Suit Up trophy, which confirms both crates registered.

Mission 5: The One That Got Away (North Vancouver)

This is the first mission where things sit off the critical path. Four crates, one bottle, and one door, and the bottle is tucked behind a wall you have to destroy.

During the objective to track the red-haired mutant, slide down the pole from the building’s roof and walk to the far end of the industrial park. Slash the wooden panels marked “Do not enter” and go inside.
Read the diary on the table to your right for the Greased trophy, then grab Incredible 181 — Whisky Bottle #2 — from the same room. Both are in that one space, so don’t leave without checking.
After the zipline and the two Reavers waiting on the other side, turn around and walk back to the fence you just crossed. Material Crate #3 is wedged between the stacks of wood next to the gate.
Continue on and climb to the next building with a lone Reaver below. Smash through the glass, drop to ground level, and find the small boat — Material Crate #4 is in the short tunnel beside it.
A few Reaver groups later you reach a small river and walk straight into Can’t Outrun the Past, Nightmare Door #2. Clearing it unlocks Chapter Select, so this is the point where cleanup becomes possible.
From the door, look to the far end of the river on the right side. Material Crate #5 pulses in the distance.

Once the objective switches to searching the trucks for mutants, stop before opening the second container in the docks. A blue container sits next to it with a hook you can ride up to reach Material Crate #6.

From there the mission commits to its set pieces. Skullbuster loads Leech and the other captured mutants into a truck, Jean Grey arrives to fight alongside you, and the chase closes out with the Road Rage trophy for completing the Canada Highway Chase.

Jean’s telekinesis does a lot of the heavy lifting once she shows up, including hurling a shipping container to cut off the Reavers’ route. She’s also the one who finishes Skullbuster after he stabs Callisto.

Missions 6 to 8: Raise Some Hell, Strays, and Something Much Stronger

The back half of Canada is where the bulk of the chapter’s crates sit. Raise Some Hell and Something Much Stronger each carry four crates, one bottle, and one Nightmare Door. Strays is the outlier with a single crate and a single bottle.

Each of these missions also ends on a story trophy, which is a useful signal that you’ve left the area for good. Destroying the refinery closes out Raise Some Hell with Hell Raisers, and Something Much Stronger ends with Berserker Unleashed once Logan flies into a Berserker Rage.

Also break any 100 XP Caches you walk past. There are far more in the game than the Cache Crusher trophy needs, and the ones on the story path alone are enough, so there’s no reason to detour for them.

How to check your Canada progress and go back for misses

Open the pause menu and look at the collectible tracker for the mission you’re in. It shows that chapter’s totals on their own, which is the fastest way to confirm you left Homecoming with 4/4 or The One That Got Away with 6/6. Total progress across the whole game reads off the trophy progress counters.

If something is missing, nothing is lost. Chapter Select unlocks the moment you find that second Nightmare Door in The One That Got Away. From the title screen, choose Nightmare Cabin and interact with the bed to replay any mission. Collectibles you pick up during a replay carry over permanently.

The Nightmare Cabin is also where you replay trials, so a bronze-rated Canada door can be upgraded later once you’ve spent more Adaptation Levels. Difficulty has no bearing on any of this — the lowest setting, The Man, prevents you from being knocked out at all.

Watch for the notification telling you new characters are available in the Gallery — it appears as Canada wraps up and is a reliable marker that the chapter’s story beats are done.

Clearing Canada clean leaves you 15 crates and 5 bottles into the game’s 68 and 20 totals, with 4 of 14 doors behind you. That’s roughly a fifth of the way to Crate Collector, Full Barrel, and Pathways of the Mind — and enough crafted suits to have noticeably more health going into Madripoor.
