Castaway Set in ARC Raiders: Price, Contents, and Layered Customization

The Castaway set is a paid cosmetic outfit for ARC Raiders, added to the in-game shop with update 1.28.0 as part of the Riven Tides content rollout. It is themed around a self-reliant drifter aesthetic, built around a jacket and overalls combination with a glowing mask, and it is notable for letting you peel off individual pieces to expose a more stripped-back look underneath.

Quick answer: Open the in-game shop and purchase the Castaway set for 1,600 Raider Tokens at the current launch discount (down from 2,100). The standalone outfit, which includes three color variations, can be bought separately for 1,300 Raider Tokens. Restart the game if the new rotation does not appear.

Castaway set price and bundle options

The Castaway set is sold in the Raider Tokens shop. The full bundle ships at a discount during its launch window, while the outfit-only purchase is available at a lower fixed price for players who do not want the extra accessories.

Purchase optionPrice (Raider Tokens)What it includes
Castaway full set (launch discount)1,600 (was 2,100)Outfit plus glowing mask, hat, gloves, jacket, overalls, front net, and ropes

Note: The 1,600-token price reflects a launch promotion. Once that discount window ends, the full set is expected to return to its base 2,100-token price.

What is inside the Castaway set

The set is built around a rugged drifter silhouette. The base outfit is an overalls-and-jacket combination, and the bundle layers on accessories that give the look its distinct, salvaged appearance.

  • Hat
  • Gloves
  • Jacket
  • Overalls
  • Front net
  • Ropes

The outfit itself ships with three color variations if you purchase the standalone skin without the accessory layers.

Layered customization: How removable pieces work

The defining feature of the Castaway set is its layered toggles. Inside the customization menu, you can remove each accessory piece one at a time. Stripping off layers progressively reveals more basic versions of the outfit underneath, ending with just the standard body.

The toggleable pieces are the glowing mask, hat, gloves, jacket, overalls, front net, and ropes. ARC Raiders does not currently let you mix parts freely between different cosmetic sets, so the toggles apply within the Castaway set itself rather than enabling cross-set combinations.

To adjust the look, open the Raider tab in the lobby, select the customization menu icon at the bottom of the screen, and use the Style category to apply the Castaway outfit and toggle individual layers on or off.

How to buy the Castaway set

Step 1: Launch ARC Raiders and make sure the game is on the latest build. If the new shop rotation does not appear, fully close and restart the client so the 1.28.0 store update loads.

Step 2: From the lobby, open the in-game store and locate the Castaway set in the current rotation. Confirm you have at least 1,600 Raider Tokens for the discounted bundle, or 1,300 for the outfit-only option.

Step 3: Select the bundle or the standalone outfit, complete the purchase with Raider Tokens, and the cosmetic will be added to your inventory. You can verify it worked by opening the Style tab in the customization menu and applying the Castaway outfit; the new pieces should appear as equippable options.

Castaway set in the Riven Tides cosmetic rollout

The Castaway set is part of a five-set lineup tied to the Riven Tides update. The Solare and Rachetta sets launched alongside the update on April 28, and the Corsaro, Castaway, and Sandveil sets were scheduled to release across May. The Castaway set is the lone-drifter entry in that lineup, contrasting with the more nautical and ceremonial themes of the others.

Other shop additions alongside the Castaway set

Update 1.28.0 brought two more items into the shop rotation next to the Castaway set. Both are priced lower than the main outfit bundle and are unrelated to the Castaway theme.

If the Castaway set is not showing in the shop

The most common reason the new rotation does not appear is that the client is still running the previous shop state. The official guidance with the 1.28.0 announcement is to restart the game so the updated store loads. After restarting, the Castaway set should be visible in the current featured rotation.

If the set still does not appear after a restart, confirm that your client has applied update 1.28.0 and that you are signed into the correct account region; cosmetic rotations are shared globally, but the listing only refreshes once the client pulls the new store state.

The Castaway set is a cosmetic-only purchase, so it does not affect raid performance, drops, or skill progression in any way. Its appeal sits entirely in the layered look and the ability to tune how much of the drifter silhouette you want on screen.
