Dragons in Catch Dragons To Defend can now be ridden and flown, and that flight opens up a set of new floating islands where a Fabled rarity tier waits to be caught. The UPD4 drop also introduces Charms you equip for buffs, and it expands the map and economy with three zones, 15 upgrades and ten dragons. The studio Cat Fighting Games laid out the full list in the update post on Discord, alongside a free code and an Admin Abuse event.
Flying dragons, floating islands and the Fabled tier
You can mount your dragons and fly them to new floating islands that sit above the existing map. Those islands hold Fabled dragons, a new rarity that sits on top of the game’s existing catch list.
Flight changes how the islands are reached. Rather than unlocking only through pen growth on the ground, the new areas are tied to getting a dragon airborne and exploring upward, which is where the Fabled catches live.
Charms
Charms are a new equippable item that apply buffs to your dragons. You unlock them through the Upgrades menu, and once unlocked they attach to your dragons for their effect.
New zones, upgrades and dragons
Beyond the islands, UPD4 adds content across the game’s core loop. The additions break down as follows.

Of the ten new dragons, four come from the Admin Abuse session rather than the standard map. The remaining six sit across the new zones and islands. The 15 upgrades feed the same Upgrades menu that now also holds Charms.
Admin Abuse event
An Admin Abuse session ran alongside the update, timed to start shortly after the post went up. Four of the ten new dragons are tied to that session. You can join it in the game on Roblox.
Redeem the Charming code
The update shipped with the code Charming, which gives an Epic Lucky Clover Charm. To claim it, open the Shop from the left side of the screen, scroll to the bottom to the code box, enter Charming and hit redeem. The Charm lands in your inventory to equip through Upgrades.
UPD4 leans on the one thing the game did not do before this patch, which is let dragons leave the ground. Everything else in the drop, the Fabled tier, the Charms, the extra zones and upgrades, hangs off that flight system and the islands it reaches.
