Spend 200 Pre-Season tokens to push a striker to a 98 overall, and pick a card that fits the requirement caps.

The Class on Grass Evolution turns a striker into an endgame finisher in FC 26, pushing the chosen card to a 98 overall with maxed shooting, a stack of PlayStyles, and a full set of five upgrade levels. It costs 200 Pre-Season tokens from the Token Store, and every stage only asks you to play a single match. The trick is picking a card that fits inside the entry caps while still gaining the most from the boosts.

Quick answer: Enter a striker or attacking card rated 97 or lower, with no more than five positions, 10 PlayStyles, and four PlayStyle+. Top picks include Gullit TOTY Icon, Ibrahimovic TOTY Icon, Kane TOTS, Zidane GOTG Icon, and Dembele Star Performers.

Entry requirements and cost

Before a card is eligible, it has to sit under every cap below. Anything over 97 overall, or already carrying five PlayStyle+ slots, gets locked out. You unlock the evolution by spending tokens in the Token Store.

The recommended position is ST, and the finished card ends up as a striker regardless of where it started, since Level 1 adds the ST slot outright.

Upgrade path across all five levels

Each level unlocks a batch of stat gains and new PlayStyles, and every level only requires one match in any mode with your active EVO player. Combined, the path adds around +413 to the overall stat total.

LevelKey upgrades
1+30 OVR (98), Acceleration 97, Sprint Speed 96, Positioning 98, adds ST, Finesse Shot+
2Finishing 98, Long Shots 96, Shot Power 97, +4 Weak Foot, Low Driven Shot+
3Balance 98, Curve 97, Short Passing 96, Vision 94, Power Shot+, Quick Step
4Ball Control 97, Dribbling 98, Reactions 97, Composure 98, +5 Skills, Incisive Pass
5Stamina 95, Strength 98, Rapid+, Gamechanger, First Touch

By the end, the card carries maxed finishing, strong pace, and a deep PlayStyle set, which is why it lands as a complete striker rather than a one-dimensional poacher.

Best players to use in Class on Grass

The strongest results come from Icon and high-rated special cards that already have elite dribbling or passing traits the evolution does not fully cover. A few of these need chains to drop under the caps first, so factor that in before committing tokens.

Tip: If you plan to run chains, apply cheaper evolutions first to nudge a card under the 97 overall or PlayStyle+ caps, then finish with Class on Grass for the biggest single jump.

How to confirm each level completed

Put your chosen card in your active squad and select it as the EVO player. The evolution only tracks progress while that specific card is active.
Play one full match in any mode using that card. The level requirement clears once the match ends, and the card’s ratings update to the next level’s values.
Repeat for all five levels. When Level 5 completes, the card shows the 98 overall with Stamina 95, Strength 98, and the Rapid+, Gamechanger, and First Touch PlayStyles applied.

If a level does not tick over, the usual cause is playing a match without the EVO card actually on the pitch, or having swapped the active card mid-path. Keep the same player in your starting lineup until the whole evolution is done, and each stage will register in order.

With low match requirements and a huge stat swing, Class on Grass is one of the more efficient ways to build a finisher this year. Pick a card that already brings the dribbling or creativity you want, make sure it clears the caps, and let five quick matches do the rest.
