The “Be What You Want to Be” trophy in Control Resonant hinges on a single karaoke performance. During The Party Won’t Stop side quest, Dylan must sing into an Altered karaoke machine, and every wrong lyric kills one of the trapped partygoers. Keep all of them alive by picking the correct rhyming word nine times in a row, and the trophy unlocks the moment the quest closes.

What you need before starting The Party Won’t Stop

The quest sits in the West Incursion Zone, to the west of Central, near the West Supply Route Station. The apartment where the party takes place is locked from the ground, so reaching it depends on having a traversal power first.

Either power lets you climb onto the rooftop opposite the apartment and cross into the building. Head to the top-left corner of the map and look for the “Singing reported?” text to trigger the side story.

This trophy is flagged as missable, but it is recoverable. If a dancer dies, load a slightly earlier save and retry the song. Post-mission checkpoints also sit near the bottom of the Load list if you return hours later.

Reaching the apartment party

From the West Supply Route, make your way to the southwest section of the West Incursion Zone, then turn northwest. A body lies beside the locked apartment entrance; radio Zoe to report it.

Use Shift or Reach to climb onto the building by taking the road straight across from the apartment building. Continue along that route; when a construction site comes into view on the right, enter it, turn right, and avoid the enemies.

At the apartment rooftop, leap up with Elevate and go in through the doorway. Continue down multiple flights of stairs until a doorway on the left appears, marked by a neon-purple glow.

The correct karaoke lyrics to save everyone

Interact with the microphone on the table to update the objective to “Sing” and begin the mini-game. The machine sings a line and hands you a dialogue wheel of possible words. Each correct choice keeps a dancer alive, while each mistake kills one and forfeits the trophy.

Most of the answers rhyme with the preceding line, but a couple are deliberately misleading. The prompt that pairs “Feet” with “Fear” trips up plenty of players, so match the song lines to the exact words below rather than guessing on sound alone.

A few of the wheels throw in close decoys. Pick Stress over “work,” choose Too Long over “too true” and “too much,” select Move over “party,” “dance,” and “live,” take Everything over “the worst,” “impact,” and “tough times,” and choose Higher and Higher over “more and more,” “lower and lower,” and “less and less.” The finale simply asks you to “Shout” for the closing vocal.

Confirming the trophy and rewards

Belting out “Shout” ends the song and frees the dancers. The Party Won’t Stop registers as completed, and the “Be What You Want to Be” trophy pops immediately afterward, so long as no partygoer died along the way.

Finishing the quest also grants two items regardless of the trophy: the Untapped Bar Blade artifact and the Varsity Jacket outfit. If you saw a dancer fall during the song, reload an earlier checkpoint and run the sequence again with the correct words to secure the trophy.
